Basically I much like that style of arcade racer and it has a lot of potential, but this port couldn’t catch me at all.

Overall Antigraviator is a nice, smooth experience of high speed, futuristic racing. I wish it had a few more tracks as even with reverse and mirror modes it’s really only 18 courses, which would have been fine 20 years ago, but I believe players expect more in this day and age. Another thing on my wish list would have been some kind of combat element with limited ammo per lap. The random trap activation’s are fine but I want more control over my opponents demise. Plus it would give a greater sense of your own personal danger. Still the racing is intense and fun so I can’t really complain too much.

This is how I imagined Pod Racing from Star Wars, and sort of how it's explained in the movie, so fast humans usually don't have the reflexes to compete. You have a small handful of vehicles and a slim variety of modifications. The game is intense off the break, an exhilarating journey into speed. There is no top end to the speeds you can achieve if you can stay off the guard rails long enough to achieve those crazy speeds. I was a fan of the F-Zero franchise and thought I had what it takes to race in this environment, but I was wrong. You will have to learn each track and its insane curves, there are very few straightaways, lending to the rail hugging. The game does away with the traditional power-ups for Cells, these can be used to boost at any time and to activate traps. The trap system was very disappointing, as you're blasting along so fast you tend to miss the spot you can activate the traps from, again unless you've memorized each of the tracks, and there are plenty of tracks. I Feel like Antigraviator could use a bit of polishing, and maybe some less stressful tracks at the start of the game. Even with these negative overtones, I had a blast hugging the rails between utilizing the break-neck speeds this game offers.

It's not as fantastic as WipEout but Antigraviator is certainly a capable and enjoyable racer that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.

For a solo player, Antigraviator on Xbox One is more than worth a play. Yep, it’s not Wipeout, but then rarely does anything get near that brilliance. There are multiplayer issues, but if you find yourself troubled by the lack of properly fast, properly hectic anti-grav racers that are available, then aside from a few little oddities this should be one to consider.

The game ends up feeling uninspired, and probably won't hold your attention for long, no matter how quickly you hurtle around its twisting tracks. With WipEout Omega Collection and other superior contemporaries available, it's very difficult to recommend this.

Some type of races includes traps, that can remind Split Second Velocity mechanics but less impressive. I'm looking forward to see how it would looks like running at a locked 60fps, and then maybe put a deserved 7 or 8 out of 10. For now, avoid it until a patch fix that.

You know... buy wipeout…This game feels much budgeted, there are 18 tracks and multiple ships to unlock, upgrades through credits you earn through campaigns and races…But sadly there just isn’t anything specially really done here…The racing is fast bust just doesn’t feel competitive… its challenging in a way that feels impossible at times and at others feels far too easy…there’s no sense of what’s to come in races, making it hard to really get a feel or grasp of the game, races kind of feel random because of that..You’re either going to do really well or really awful with no rhyme or reason for it…One aspect this game does have that differs it from the likes of wipeout is its trap system...throughout the tracks there are picks ups that can be used as speed boosts or to activate traps on the track. These traps are usually what you’re about to drive into, so it’s a bit of risk reward to activate and potentially mess up an opponent ahead of you.. However I found this system to not be as rewarding as it could be... so it eventually just because a nuisance of a mechanic when other drivers would use it…All and all Antigraviator is what your mom would call wipeout at home.It feels generic and unimaginative…Not to say it isn’t fun…Just saying wipeout exists, buy wipeoutI give Antigraviatora 5/10

Antigraviator has tons of potential, and there’s every chance that it could attain it a few updates down its spiralling road. However, as it stands there are too many problems with the game’s underpinnings that the fantastic visuals can’t quite cover up.

Antigraviator has tight controls, great sense of speed, branching courses and is for the most part enjoyable, but multiplayer issues, little content (especially in gravs and modes), unfair difficulty in a couple of leagues and tedious money farming, keep it from reaching its true potential.

There is a healthy number of tracks that will take hours to master, cool Gravs and parts to unlock, and it’s a joy to look at and listen to while you do it. But with a little polish and workshopping, Antigraviator could have gone from really good, to really great.

Antigraviator is a no-holds-bar dedication to arcadey, futuristic speed. But packing in more content would elevate the experience to something better.

Antigraviator gets a lot of things right. Its responsive handling and evasive manoeuvres help the racing feel particularly fluid. The boosting system and the lack of a top-speed really enhances the exhilaration factor, too. Managing cells for use between boosting and traps also adds a nice strategic layer. However, the trap mechanic and how it's integrated is disappointing.

Antigraviator pushes you to play aggressively and master the tracks, and if you do that, you’ll get a real kick out of this. It may not be an original concept but Cybernetic Walrus has created quite a polished and intense racer and I look forward to seeing how they support it in the months ahead.
