At times very frustrating.I was a little disappointed that the game basically has nothing to do with the movie. I hadn't researched that in advance. But I thought the developers did a pretty good job of giving us a similar kind of creepiness as we had in the movie. Mostly fairly subtle and slow moving. Slow paced horror games are totally my thing, so for me this game was right up my alley. The early stages were so so, and I wasn't particularly impressed and quite often frustrated. But as the game progressed I thought it improved considerably. For me the whole end sequence from when you enter the house onwards, was really quite outstanding and gripping. I would actually like the return to this game again one day, solely to experience that part of the game again.All in all as a fan of slow paced horror games I found enough to enjoy and appreciate about this game to warrant a pretty high score. I would've given it a 7.5 given the option though.

I'd recommend waiting for this to come to psnow so you can try it for free. it's more frustrating than fun, more confusion than substance. after completing the game i have a little better opinion , but sill not a huge fan. especially with the sound coming fron the controller not being adjustable.

The devs made a great job with the forest, you often feel totally lost, and it was the goal. The soundtrack is great. The dog, well, it's a cute doggy, but in the end, not really useful for the overall game, more a gimmick useful latter for the story. The last level is great, even if it lacks checkpoints. If you die at some point, you'll restart it from the start. Not my favorite kind of horror game (great atmosphere but almost no gameplay), but in its style, a good game.

A must have if you like the genre even if it is unfortunately a little too short. Especially since the game deserves an adaptation to VR!

Blair Witch is a good homage to the film but stands on its own as a spooky, lost-in-the-woods, romp that doesn't go far enough with some of its story beats.

I really enjoyed Blair Witch, it caught the essence of the franchise and definitely gave me nostalgia from the movies – which now I have to watch again. Visuals look great and it plays well, although being a bit short in length I’d recommend this to any horror or franchise fan. Bloober did a pretty good job and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next.

This is a licensed game done right. It doesn’t rely on cheap jumpscares and instead takes you on a journey inside the soul of a very broken detective.

In all, Bloober Team has done a great job of capturing the feel and ethos of the film series. With some unique and interesting mechanics, a solid story, and a cute pupper in a lead role, it adds up to something really quite good. A few issues stop it from being perfect, but it certainly does justice to a film that’s held dear to many.

The visual and sound fidelity provides an excellent foundation to the story that is being told. For psychological horror fans, it will scratch that much-needed itch.

Some technical hiccups and out of place combat isn’t enough to stop this from being Bloober Team’s scariest game to date, and the best Blair Witch entry since 1999.

Bloober Team tries to mix successful elements from titles like Alan Wake and Outlast, and use the atmosphere and theme from The Blair Witch Project to create a different horror game. But the result is not as good as expected, as the game starts to get boring soon and has no true identity, with the opportunity to roam the Burkittsvills forest being the only salvage point.

Despite some issues here and there, like the excessive linearity, little replay value and technical issues, the game is definitely among the best titles created by Bloober Team.
