That’s not just because it’s a pretty brief game at 4-5 hours in length- those are actually pretty solid 4-5 hours, and I’m not calling the inherent quality of the game itself into question. It’s a sloppy port of a solid game though, and probably not the best way to experience the game. If you are looking to dive into Deliver Us the Moon’s somber yet captivating offerings for the first time, keep that in mind.

That naked feeling of vulnerability will be a sensation I remember for a long time after the credits.Unfortunately, the story wasn’t quite as good as it needed to be—without giving anything away, a few of the data points collected along the way revealed a bit too much about where everything was about to go, and that made the big reveal more like an update about where the characters wound up rather than major revelations.Difficulty spikes were also an issue, with some puzzles being as simple as ‘find this in a room and put it here’, and others being like navigating a maze to find the bit of cheese somewhere inside.Finally, for a game this length, a $25 MSRP is too high. I finished the game in 7 hours, so I feel it should have been cheaper (although I played it on Game Pass, it’s now been removed).

Man looking at these review scores I needed to drop a review, this game is seriously underrated. Sure it has it janky qualities but its an kickstarter game. graphics are good en the puzzles were fun, but where it really shines is the story and the worldbuilding. I dont believe in perfect scores, nothing is but damn this deserves a near perfect score with the rescources they had!Thank you devs, what a ride.

Just one moment that got me yelling, when you have to go slowly between some electricity things, several times in a row, with no gravity. Maybe I'm just bad but it was frustrating haha. Only that moment tho, the rest of the game was good. Loved also the parts when you go outside, with the heavy silence of the moon.

But it's not as straightforward as it sounds. It feels like a simpler version of Prey that doesn't have combat and is more focused on the environment.There is a ton of story packed into this game, and you can make your experience as thorough or as simple as you wish. You can seek out audio logs and diaries to really immerse yourself or you can simply focus on the mission. It's entirely up to you.The devs realize that not every gamer is a rocket scientist, so the game was simplified to a more casual level. Even so, it offers a reasonable challenge that still requires thought, so it is by no means a cakewalk.My only peeve would be that I experienced a lot of technical issues. Playing the Xbox Game Pass version, I experienced freezing, crashing, and loading problems which all weighed on the experience, as I would constantly need to restart my PC just to keep playing.Overall, I think an 8 is a fair score for this game. It's unique, immersive, and doesn't detract from its intended objective of providing a good all-around story. The game didn't last very long for me (around 3.5 hours), but I will admit that I rushed it a little. If you like space games, you'll surely enjoy this one.

It's hard on the eyes, the challenges can feel impossible on their first shot, you control like a block of ice filled with helium but I'm glad I played it. It's different and doesn't demand much. It's a relatively short and sweet game with a story to tell and is done in a way that makes you listen. Maybe, should the developers feel compelled to fix a few of these problems, Deliver Us the Moon could go down as a truly great game. But, until that happens, I guess we'll have to settle with an okay game that shouldn't be passed over with at least some consideration.

Deliver Us the Moon is an excellently made game that succeeds in story and atmosphere. The lunar settlement is a fascinating place to explore, and even though it’s just filled with holographic ghosts, you get a sense of how it was once thriving and what exactly went wrong. The experience starts out strong and ends strong; some of the middle ground is a bit repetitive, but the narrative is engaging throughout and makes the journey worth taking.

You won’t mistake Deliver Us The Moon for a bleeding edge graphical powerhouse, but it looks very good. At least as good as other hit games in the genre. It’s amazing how good a relatively small dev team can get a 3D exploration game looking. It’s comparable with games on a similar scale, like Subnautica. But I appreciate when a game knows to show restraint in pushing my graphics card to the max, and instead it uses its resources to create a coherent and immersive experience. This is that.
