Competitive events, leaderboards etc. simply do not work on Xbox. If these are important to you then buy it on Steam or PlayStation instead.The offline parts of the game are good. The different event types all feel fantastic with a nice range of vehicles. The simplistic "my team" aspects of managing a team feel like a bit of an afterthought.The actual driving is fantastic. Feels like a modernised and more substantial version of the original Colin McRae games from the PS1 days. Top notch on both arcade and simulation settings. They have completely nailed the "feel" of the driving to be fun with enough of a challenge to set decent times... if only you could access the leaderboards to see how close you can get to the ones at the top.Dirt 4 on Xbox would have been a 9/10 for me. But sadly without the online features up and running then even 5/10 is being generous. The disabled features just take far too much away from a game built around setting the best times.

New mechanics, like breaking parts during the race, sponsors, staff and facilities management. Different types of terrains and weather conditions. It combines most of the good aspects of Dirt Rally spinoff, but with an arcade approach. Sounds effects are good and the soundtrack is excellent. It is a shame that Codemasters dropped the ball on Dirt 5, it should be named "Dirt Shallow Rallycross".

As a rally fanatic I thought Dirt Rally was incredible, even bought a gaming pc cause couldn't wait for console.It was during this romanceAs a rally fanatic I thought Dirt Rally was incredible, even bought a gaming pc cause couldn't wait for console.It was during this romance that Dirt Rallys sister Dirt 4 showed up to stay and while knowing nothing of her it was hate at first sight, While prettier and better dressed she was shallow,repetitive and her behaviour was erratic when cornered so we rarely spoke.Sadly one night Dirt Rally fell over and couldn't get up so i took Dirt4 for a drink at a new bar called ps4 pro where we talked and laughed all night.I still talk to Dirt Rally and will never forget her but her sister is proving to be alot of fun.

All in all, Dirt 4 is an undeniably fantastic racing experience wrapped up in a dull procession of events known as a career mode. At its absolute best it can be a white-knuckle thrill ride that hardcore racing fans would do well to give a try, but those after a more consistently adrenaline-filled arcade experience may want to look elsewhere.

Those are terrible. Bad AI, Bad physics. I had to turn down the difficulty of the whole game just to get these alternative modes done with and continue with the best part. Rally racing!

After the success of DiRt Rally, Codemasters is back with a vengeance. DiRT 4 is a testament to everything the company has learned over the years, the best DiRT game to date and one of the best racers of all time.

Duality is the biggest flaw of Dirt 4. Fans of colorful arcade racing games will find it too dull and unforgiving, while hardcore rally enthusiasts continue to enjoy their DiRT Rally and Richard Burns Rally.

I play this game at high graphic settings at 85% difficulty. I like the career mode and the build your team, but I am not sure how deep the career mode is really...there is no years, season or aging involved, just unlocking stuff, making more money for your team. So, I am not sure it qualifies to anything near a career. Some of the graphics are quite well done and they fix the short range of vision for night settings. The sounds are very good. The music samples are amazing and various. There is maybe not enough variety in the locations, as you get only 3-4 places (if it's more it does all look a like). I like that version more then the previous. Now if we could get the real rally license and tracks that would be amazing. I give it a 78%

The best rally game on the market and the triumphant return of the famous series. Codemasters listened to both the ovations and the lamentations and made a great driving game with lots of bonus content for everyone. DiRT will not stay undefeated this year – at least on the gravel.

From a pure driving standpoint though, it’s tough to beat Dirt 4. It’s a niche style of racing, but it’s one with a lot of positives that the majority of people can enjoy. If you’re into competition and bumping into other drivers as you race, there are modes for you, but there are better options out there if that’s all you’re looking for. Dirt 4 is for the people who love the simulation aspect. They want to be challenged. They want to ‘Scandinavian Flick’ their way around dense forests at night time with the fog and rain closing in. It’s dirty, but it’s glorious.

If you’re looking for a game that features a lot of attention to detail and places a great focus on its handling mechanics, then DiRT 4 is a very worthy pick-up. Just don’t go in expecting a game that is as ‘arcadey’ as the first several DiRT titles were.

At the end of the day, DiRT 4 is left as very good racer that is let down by the odd visual and audio issue. If you’re a gaming petrol head who is prepared to look beyond those though – and can consider turning off the repetition of your Spotter – then you’ll most definitely like what you find.

DiRT 4 does such a good job of accommodating to every audience possible that I can wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone reading right now. This is a properly well-developed and pure racing experience for all to enjoy.

DiRT 4 is a very good game, that much is certain. Retaining the fantastic control of cars from DiRT Rally, albeit made somewhat simpler, it offers almost endless rallying with a procedurally generated track system and a number of changing online challenges. Not without its flaws, including an oversimplified gamer control scheme and anemic career mode, it's still a worthy entry of the core DiRT franchise.

DiRT 4 offers us a very good driving model, suited both to hardcore rally lovers and more casual gamers, and a satisfying variety in modes and tracks. We would have liked a greater range of locations and more stunning graphics, but what's left is however a very solid and entertaining racer.

Yes sure the graphics are down a little in areas but you only really notice this in the short cinematics and leading into races with some aliasing & low textures here and there. Otherwise the game looks great with stellar weather effects. Cars handle brilliantly and audio quality is 10 out of 10. There's bucket loads of content on offer here and loads of progression, customizations , rewards and loot to be earned. There is plenty of REWARD FOR EFFORT which makes DIRT 4 a classic & can be best described as DESTINY ON WHEELS. Great stuff Codemasters. Best rally I've had the pleasure of playing. :))))

Codemasters strikes again! Technically great and filled to the brim with content, this is quite simply one of the best rally games ever made.

A series that was in danger of going stale has managed to take time off and re-evaluate what bedrock the foundations were built upon. Whilst more reserved in presentation, the racing recovers a serious edge that heightens the peril associated with one of motorsport’s more enticing arenas. Whilst I do miss the crutch of quick rewinds and don’t quite fancy the new Landrush mode, the majority of what’s on DiRT 4’s menu is served up exceptionally well.

DiRT 4 works no matter whether you’re looking a hard, realistic experience, or if you just want to enjoy a good racing game. Codemasters has options for both types of players, and this game becomes a must-have for racing fans.

Accessible yet tough and grimy yet gorgeous, Dirt 4 sets a new standard in rally racing – and its well-considered career mode and endless stages inject it with tremendous stamina. Absolutely stonking brilliant.

With a properly meaty career mode, literally endless racing thanks to its procedurally generated stages, and the best sound and visuals Codemasters has ever mustered, Dirt 4 has redefined what we should expect from modern rally games.
