I don't really know why people are so angry about this game being that "bad". Do they (devs) have to do some more work on this game? surely.I see a lot of people here complaining but don't saying the good parts, I'm going to tell you my point of view:About the graphics: Well, I thought that this year would have a great improvement in the graphics. They advanced a little in that direction but It was not like when you see Horizon 5 for the first time. I think the last time I felt a sensation like that was then I saw, for the first time, Gear of War on 2007. At the end, they are nice, but not that great.Gameplay: Same as always. I like a lot that this year the engine wear and consumption is very important. That is really nice to take in count when you play the championship battle.Sound: Well I think is the same. Very good quality as always with engines' sounds effects and the enviroment music as well. I used to hear it in my PS4 with a good headsets. I don't have one for my xbox, then the quality of my TV isn't the best provide an accuarate opinion.Note: The sound track for this game is the best for any racing game. You have to hear it to really understand, another championship decider.

The game has been completely redesigned and you can see that EA has really "touched" every pixel of the game. It's not the biggest leap of a new F1 spin-off, but you can tell that the new rules have been super integrated into the game and the AI is much more aggressive, error-prone and exciting than in any part before. All in all, the game is very playable and has all the modes you could want.

Codemasters once again offers the best F1 simulator to date. While there are concerns about what's happening in F1 Life and the inevitable hand of EA with its addiction to microtransactions, this year's installment stands by its own quality.

The game engine is just getting a bit long in the tooth. In any case, with what’s shaping up to be one of the best Formula 1 seasons in years, there’s never been a better time to get into motorsports and the best place to start might just be F1 22.

This game is quite fun and a fun step up from last year's game. Codemasters have dutifully updated their F1 template with the new car designs and the up to date roster of circuits whilst ditching the Story Mode for an entirely unrelated and pointless avatar clothes shop featuring microtransactions. While the racing itself remains superb, there's an increasingly hollow corporate veneer which undermines the core of the well-crafted game engine. I'd be inclined to stick with F1 2021 until the nouveau riche supercars and furnishings are jettisoned for 2023.

The F1 Life stuff is useless nonsense to give micro transactions a platform, but you can completely ignore that stuff, as well as the super cars. Yeah you can drive with these fancy cars on the f1 tracks, but the physics are bad and the modes are rather limited. They should have put the effort into another story-mode, or add F3, to be able to play a full career.So yeah: Base gameplay is updated and enjoyable (with some cool, but small additions), besides that a rather lazy Update to F1 2021.

I got the new game and a Meta Quest 2 for the new VR feature, but that clearly was a mistake.At the start of a race / time runs, it all works fine. But if i go to a flashback or race for around 3-5 minutes, the game starts stuttering to the point it get's unplayable or Steam VR crashes. I would say i'm surprised, but what did i really expect from EA?

F1 22 is technically stunning, and that, combined with the chance to drive this year’s cars on this year’s tracks, should make it irresistible to Formula One fans. As long as they manage to ignore the egregious F1 Life.

This is the best entry in the series gameplay-wise and fan of this competition will love it, but it also feels like a step back when it comes to content.

F1 22 is another super solid entry in Codemasters' superlative run of racers. There may not be any really pressing reason to pick this one up if you own last year's game, but besides a lack of new ways to play and an F1 Life mode that's all a bit pointless in the end, this is still the pinnacle of F1 video game action that fans of the sport will no doubt be enjoying until F1 23 drops.

With prettier graphics and notably improved physics, F1 22 impresses right out of the gate. Last year's enjoyable story mode is unfortunately gone, and instead we get to play F1 star with luxury watches and clumsy supercars. What a downgrade. Fortunately, the presentation, the career mode and not least the driving experience are better than ever.

Despite its flaws and F1 Life feeling like a bit of an excuse for extra microtransactions, F1 2022 is another great entry into the series and will keep new and returning players busy until next year’s game!

F1 2022 unfortunately does not fully convince, limiting itself to few innovations and even fewer improvements. This saga looks tired, and this episode could not be appealing to fans waiting for a title worthy of the franchise.

F1 22 is another solid instalment in Codemasters’ Formula 1 simulation series, even if the tweaks to the on-track gameplay aren’t all that noticeable. It feels very much an annual EA sports title.

There’s definitely a lot to love about F1 2022, whether it’s the revamped physics engine and clever AI, or the incredible levels of detail on tracks and in the cockpit. The inclusion of F1 Life as a main social hub is an interesting move and adds a new arcade-type dynamic to what is traditionally more of a sim title, while the addition of supercars adds a fun element alongside staples such as race weekends and a practically unchanged career mode. It’s really the little things that make F1 2022 such a great game with little flecks of extra realism added to a tried-and-tested formula and while it isn’t perfect, it’s definitely a shining entry.

Built on the foundations of several fantastic games, and those qualities remain – but you already own them. F1 22 simply doesn’t offer enough for a full-price purchase.

If the core F1 racing experience is what you care about most, then you likely won’t be disappointed by this year’s latest instalment.

F1 22 takes another step forward and surpasses everything we saw in the previous game, better graphics level and new modes to improve the experience. Codemasters and EA Sports have put their best into this game. I can say that F1 22 is one of the most outstanding racing games that have been released this year.

For Formula One fans, it’s easier than ever to recommend F1 22. Significant changes have been made here to not only keep the game up to date, but also more immersive, more expansive and more fun. The only real disappointment is F1 Life, which feels a like a good idea in principle but very poorly executed. And of course, the lack of a story mode will be a let-down to some, too. Ultimately, F1 22 takes a couple of steps forward and couple back, but where it matters – in its gameplay and stellar career mode – it’s still very much at the front of the pack.

F1 2022 is a simulator with a straight objective. Clearly, Codemasters decided to bet on what it does best and abandon some interesting features for the casual player, in exchange for possibilities and seriousness whose appeal to enthusiasts makes the game a must-have Formula 1 fans.

The F1 series is starting to look more and more like FIFA. Bright colours, hip music and the first contours of what could become F1UT. This year I'm still meeting Codemasters (Codematsers!), but they have to counteract that EA nonsense. Just ask Lewis Hamilton how quickly things can go differently, in F1...

F1 22 isn’t an exceptional entry in the series, but Codemasters has once again refined its winning sim racing formula and implemented immersive features that every type of player can enjoy. Career Mode is extra exciting thanks to some clever AI tweaks, making F1 22 the closest fans can get to being in the cockpit without any of the mortal danger. Development of systems in between races also helps you feel some of the chaos and elation of real Formula 1 racing, with the stellar graphics and sound design delivering a palpable atmosphere that is augmented by the haptics of the DualSense in your palms.

Although slightly saddened by the omission of a story mode this time around, it’s more than made up for by the new vehicle physics. The concern of “F1 Life” having any bearing on gameplay being quashed makes F1 22 another flying lap for Codemasters.
