Gold Rush: The Game has all of the tools – literally – to make for a deep gold mining simulator, yet fails to succeed in any way. The controls are awful to get to grips with on console, the sheer volume of aspects to learn is overwhelming, and the lengthy tutorial still leaves you with unanswered questions that the in-game help guides simply do not explain well.

Despite these complaints, I have tremendously enjoyed my first 40 hours and feel a sense of accomplishment when I finally get my wash station running and walk away with a pocket full of gold. This game demands your patience and attention, so it will not be for everybody, but for a select few, this game will provide hours of entertainment.

Embedded inside Gold Rush is ALL of Giant Machines code which appears to be as buggy as when they released it. Increased system requirements due to combining old buggy code with new. With the amount of money obtained from kickstarter and indigo you can expect a good amount of DLCs. The question to this user is why did they need to use kickstarter and indigo when they used their own product to begin with.Eventually you may end up with a product that works correctly. If they stick with it. This user feels that they will only fix what needs to be fixed to keep future DLCs rolling out.

From a spelling mistake in the first mission (who's Arlnold?) to the completely lifeless feel of driving it's just dross.I lost the will to live when trying to get to the starting claim on the first level.Is it a mobile game port? I don't know, but it feels like one. Steer clear. I wouldn't give it space on my hard drive if it was 500mb, let alone 12gb.
