Gunfire Reborn has great gunplay, huge variety in builds, and a formula as simple as it is immediate: you get in, you shoot, you hope to get to the end. It might not sound like much, but it’s more than enough to make Duoyi’s game incredibly compelling and almost addictive.

I really like the shooting! It’s a very satisfying FPS game, with agreat collection of enemy types, and weapons that are very definitelybecoming favourites. There really is a lot of great balance already inplace as I switch between rapid-fire blasters and one-shot rocketlaunchers, responding on the fly to the mix of enemies in any givenarea.

Even though this game is still in early access it feels like a complete game and it is really fun to play. I love that the randomized perks on guns can make a less than ideal gun into a Godmode weapon, similar to Borderlands gun perks. I haven't beaten it yet and I have only played solo but I can only imagine that the multiplayer has potential to be a lot of fun. The procedural generation of each level keeps each run feeling fresh though they could use a few more variances to level maps. Because this game is a roguelike, you should expect to die quite often in the beginning, but don't let that discourage you because you have the opportunity to level up after each run to go back into the fight just a little stronger each time. This difficulty makes it extremely rewarding when you finally beat that first boss and get to move on to the next area. If there is anything I would change about the game it would be maybe adding a double jump, aim-down-sights (ads) for your default weapon, and maybe allowing your character to sprint. Otherwise the gameplay is fantastic and the low poly art style actually works really well for this game, to set it apart from any other 1st person shooter roguelikes out there. It is absolutely worth the $11.43 I paid for it and is easily better than some $60 AAA titles I have played in the past.

Dungeons and progress mechanics feels kinda like The Binding of Isaac. But there is more than just comparisons! You get platformer sections, online co-op, very characteristic boss fights, and arsenal of cool weapons you can chose from. Taking all these together leaves you with amazing game, and hours of gameplay you will surely enjoy! I hope Duoyi studio will update the game, maybe add random boss fights at diffrents stages, more enemies and characters to play. There is nothing they should change, it is perfect as it is, the game just needs some more contect - since it's still fresh. I wish Duoyi will success in the industry, they deserve it.

The surprise came in the first gameplay, the game is better than much AAA from a known company. I didn't find any bugs, I really liked the gameplay, there are many items and weapons with different effects, the graphics are good, the theme is cool and the multiplayer is sensational (I highly recommend buying with a friend, playing in a group is much more fun, however the game also has matchmaking but I didn’t test this function because I always played with friends). The company is to be congratulated and I hope they continue to bring updates over time as they are doing, with improvements, new characters, new weapons, scrolls and etc ... I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes FPS.

You'll die a lot.When you die, you'll lose everything but some crystals, You'll need these crystals to keep some skills.That means, you'll die very often, your progress is really minimalistic. You can spend hours not seeing more than the first two maps over and over again.You will lose all your gear and buffs and items when you die, and there is just a CHANCE you'll get your last used weapon again.Its basically a gambling-simulator, dressed as a poor mans Borderlands.The little content there is, is not bad for the first hour, but gets extremely boring and repetitive after that. Because you'll do the same thing, over and over again. With no real progress (and keep in mind, after you die, you'll basically start from scratch, with only minimalistic improvements to your skills!)You don't have a inventory-system, nor do you have any sort of stash you can put your collections in. Weapon-carry-limit of only two weapons makes this feel even more like a early 2000 mobile-game.

Gunfire Reborn is a strong first person shooting rouge-like title, with well tuned challenging engagements. There is a lot of potential for this title to expand and the developers are actively looking for more feedback to improve the title. I was very skeptical of the title, but after watching others play it, I felt the need to try it for myself. It was a quick grab, which instantly sucked me into 3 hours of straight play to see how far I could get. It took about 3 days to finally beat the normal mode, which required that I really start to understand the games mechanics.
