At beginning this game is unplayable without DLCs especially without rocket wingsuit because travelling without that is terrible. Grappling with wingsuit is more about smashing into the ground than gaining a speed. Car controls are so bad and that camera make it even worse and also when you braking it wanna drift what is really annoying. Helicopters, planes and boats aren't so bad but still nothing great. That is reason to use just rocket wingsuit. Sometimes there are big FPS drops. Then there are so much occupied stations and challenges. After while it is boring and also some challenges are almost impossible to beat at 5 gears.

The game takes place in a tropical island in the middle of a Military Dictatorship, You are part of the rebel group and I'm sure you see where this is going. The highlights from Just Cause for me have to be using your Grappling hook and wing suit to fly across the map like a superhero or just thinking of new ways to destroy everything. The game is fairly simple with not much depth, If you don't enjoy the simplicity of just killing everything with not much of a story then you won't really enjoy Just Cause 3. It seems like a game you play for a bit then move on, not much with the game keeps you playing or draws you in.

But more importantly I feel like it would make the game much more fun...more about causing destruction and mayhem and less about forcing you to traverse a massive but empty world….it isn’t a game you play for challenge anyway or really a game you play to explore…the same issue can be found with fast travel..You can only carry 1 flare at a time and you need this flare to fast travel to a location…I would’ve much rather had fast travels be endless but limited to liberated bases...This would’ve given me incentive to liberate beyond the minimum to complete the story…but while you are creating havoc, almost everything you do is tied to a score so you can try to outdo your friends in craziness…you can of course opt out and play offline. .but annoyingly every time you go to check the map or pause the game it tries to log you in stopping all flow and immersion of the game...This is by far the greatest sin the game commits…I had games downloading in the background so it would attempt to log in for minutes, causing me to get distracted numerous times by something else… only to remember oh yeah, I was playing just cause 3…When I enter offline mode, please keep me there until I opt in to online...don’t try to force itwhile there are hours of fun to be had in just cause 3I didn’t really find the journey to be worth it all in the end…There’s a good time here, just no real substanceI give just cause 3 an 8/10

Just Cause 3 is a monument to excess. It’s Hot Shots. It’s Charlie Chaplin in The Dictator, if Charlie Chaplin had rocket-powered C4 in his boots. It’s that scene in Dr. Strangelove where Slim Pickens rides the nuke into Russia, except...well, no, it’s pretty much exactly that scene on repeat for 25-30 hours.

The lasting memories of Just Cause 3 will be the small moments where everything comes together to make the most insignificant action feel like a unique event. The fact that all of the mechanics work together so seamlessly is impressive, but the magic is fleeting.

Gliding over Medici’s beautiful vistas and causing those awesome explosions are the only fun things in a soulless product known as Just Cause 3. But then again, you can just gaze at screenshots while listening to the game’s soundtrack.

Set in the fictitious nation of Medici, you must topple General Sebastiano Di Ravello tyrannical rain though destroying his infrastructure and completing missions. A sequel to JC2, this game doesn’t feel like an evolution or revolution. It feels like more of the same with something added here and taken away there.Graphics: BI had no issues with getting between 50 to 60 FPS most of the time. The slight dips from time to time didn’t take away from my immersion. While everything looks as it should, nothing really WOWed me except the explosions and destruction. When taking down a large antenna structure while underneath it, the sense of exhalation was great as it toppled around me. When things went boom, it did so with great particle effects and debris. However, after a few hours and a bunch of towns and military bases under my belt, the novelty wore off and I was less impressed. Other toted effects were less impressive. Dandelions do flatten while driving over them; I fail to see how this is supposed to improve my experience.Story: C+I was pleasantly surprised that the story was passable this time compared to JC2. Perhaps my expectations were so low that I wouldn’t be hard to beat them. While campy throughout, it did have some interesting insights to the character’s past and their prior relationships. These moments are rare and never more than one offs, quickly deviating back to the mission at hand. Voice and dialog are b-movie quality but good b-movie. The story did rush though all points far too quickly and have a very unsatisfying ending, as if to say “that’s enough story, here’s the end”. Could be finished in about 5 hours, maybe less if you rushed.Gameplay: D+The gimmick here is the destruction that was well showcased in JC2. Towns, outposts, and military bases can be liberated by blowing up everything marked in red. While cool at first, Towns and outposts are mostly copy and paste leaving a very repetitive feel to them. Military bases are more varied but suffer the same monotonous feeling after 6 hours. The campaign does give some unique situations and motivation but was far too short to sustain me for the long run.The improvements to the zip line and the inclusion of the wing suit are nice but didn’t improve the experience much for me. Using zip line to pull down chaos objects is fun but uneven. Upgrades are required to get more functionality out of this and after a while felt like a novelty. The wingsuit was a nice inclusion for nothing more than a quicker way to move around. The unlimited parachute feels sluggish compared to the prior game, encouraging the use of the wing suit.Non-explosive weaponry are mostly useless. You got a handful of rifles, handguns, SMGs, and shotguns. All felt very weak and underwhelming. As far as special explosive weapons go, you got more options but didn’t really entice me that much.Upgrades are given by completing boring, repetitive side missions that earn you gears in different categories depending on the mission. These are a slog to go through and have very little fun value. Upgrades are often standard fare but most unique upgrades are useless. Certain upgrades like zoom in aiming and landing while using the wingsuit should have been standard features. Locking these things to pad the upgrade list is disappointing.The map is big but less impressive. It feels like a lot more empty space between towns and outposts than before and nothing to do outside these areas. You can find a few collectables but beyond that, its wasted space used for races trigged by side mission. Gas stations are now reloaded after destroying and bridges can be blown up now but both offer little strategic value outside of missions.Cars and planes handle far worse than the previous game. Tanks and helicopters are about the same but are very week and get destroyed easily. Ground play is worse with little in the way of protecting yourself in a firefight. Developers stated that cover wasn’t implemented to encourage use of the parachute as a form of cover. It works, but it didn’t feel fun slowly hovering over my enemies as I popped them off. Dodging was removed along with the mini map. Xbox One controller felt sluggish with aiming and was always imprecise.Final Thoughts:Your value on this is how much you can stand repetitive tasks. Towns and outpost all feel, look and play the same way with very little originality. I never got a sense of accomplishment when liberating areas around Medici. Just felt like I was checking off the list. Fighting as a shooter feels half-baked and was tighter in JC2. Explosions and destruction are better this time around but this is the same game we played before. I was expecting more this time around.

Just Cause 3 gets away with more stunts and high-flying hijinks that, let’s be honest, even Hollywood can’t get away with much anymore. Come for the explosions, but stay for the, well, stay for even more explosions.

It’s a solid and light-hearted game that offers a sprawling open-world playground for you to explore and destroy in as many creative and humorous ways as you can imagine. There are bugs that need to be addressed, it lacks the depth of other games in its genre, and it can be repetitive over long periods of play, but in short bursts of a couple of hours or so there’s no hiding from the fact that being given the freedom to blow things up to your heart's content provides some of the most chaotic fun you’ll find on the Xbox One right now.

When you’re not waiting for it to load, Just Cause 3 is an incredibly fun game. Crisp visuals and a clever soundtrack bring all the explosions to life. Even with the violence and destruction, it manages to maintain a lighter tone than the Far Cry games, without sliding into the outright silliness of Saints Row. But, it’s still silly enough.

All in all, Just Cause 3 is one giant bombastic set piece that manages to be immensely enjoyable and disappointing at the same time.

Long load times, sluggish frame-rate and awful shooting would usually be the end of an action game. Just Cause 3 just about gets away with it though thanks to the hugely open approach to carnage with the likes of grappling hooks, parachutes, wingsuits, rocket launchers, infinite C4, tanks, choppers and the freedom to do whatever you want with them.

Like me, fans of the predecessor will still enjoy playing this game, and the true sandbox nature that promotes tinkering around with nearly endless possibilities will ensure that some people will continue to play it even after the story is completed.

Imagine a roller coaster that stops for maintenance every 30 feet and doesn't allow you to exit, even after you've already been around the track a few dozen times.

When the spectacular fireworks and hilarious, delightfully destructive chaos kick off, the frame rate often drops well below 30 frames per second. And when the frame rate drops, it’s much harder to defy death as you’re piloting one of the many helicopters, jets, or cars, or stay in the air when you’re using the fun but touchy wingsuit. When you die, you’re subjected to loading times that can last 90 seconds or more.

Just Cause 3 stands for freedom and fun. Every gameplay element is working towards one and the same goal: doing whatever you feel like. Just Cause 3 is simply a game you must play, it would surprise us if you wouldn't like it.

"I have an island and i will blow it up!" Just cause 3 is a symphony of explosions. Action scenes make you feel good but missions get repetitive after a while.

Just Cause 3 has two souls: one is pure, untarnished and ridiculous fun, the other is pretty raw, unpolished and repetitive. If you like blowing stuff up, launching rocket cows into space, or simply chaos, this game is definitely a dream come true. Just don’t expect an action masterpiece.

Those that found JC2 underwhelming or repetitive won’t find much to change their mind here, but for fans like myself that simply can’t get enough destruction, Just Cause 3 delivers on all levels.

Let’s try a metaphor and imagine games as drinks. Fallout 4 is a fine wine, aged, complex, and evolving, likely better with a bit of wait. Bloodborne is a single malt Scotch — dense, overwhelming and rarified. Destiny might be a well made cocktail — a bit trendy, probably too expensive, but eminently satisfying and possessed of a certain technical skill. Just Cause 3 is a Miller High Life. It might not tick those other boxes of quality that those other drinks manage, but damn if I’d have it any other way.

The environments are again massive and even more beautiful than before. The fire leech has instantly become one of my favourite weapons in gaming history. Just Cause 3 might not exceed expectations, but then again it doesn't really have to as long as it delivers what it promised. And it does: endlessly blowing up everything in sight in various way still is fun, a lot of fun.

If you're looking for a game with mindless destruction and unique innovative ways to cause mayhem then this is right up your alley. In this regard it ks endless fun and i have had a great time finding endless ways to grapple enemies and things together in order to creste mayhem. Just brilliant.Tons of variety in vehicles, weapons etc... it feels just as good as the previous games in this regard. One annoyance is the lack of remapping keys or controls on the controller because it requires quite a steep learning curve. The story while largely throw away is funny at times as the characters almost know they're in a parody of sorts, some rather funny moments and dialog to be had.The game world is massive in scale, but as the old saying goes - size doesn't matter. It feels boring to be honest when all you have to do are random challenging, throw away missions and just blowing stuff up. Rpg this is not, so prepare yourself for that. On ps4 thd frame rate constantly judders around and usually while doing not a whole lot, for examlle driving ALWAYS causes the framerate to drop, equally just swining the camera around does the same and intense exploding scenes causes it to falter further (hint:this is a lot because this is the game). This all causes massive lag in inputs which is very frustrating and jarring at times.Then theres the loading problems. I was doing an exploding vehicle challenge you find early on in the game, loaded it no issue and screwed it up so restarted it - i waited more than 4 minutes for this to reload, from a scene i was just in 30 seconds before. This is not isolated either, it has happened many tomes before and is simply poor.So. Taken without the issues this is an 8 for the sheer madness and fun factor. But right now, as it is i cannot give it anything more until /if the technical issues are resolved.

Just Cause 3 is a chaotic, over the top action game where a simple grenade could level an entire military base from the domino effect alone. It is a beautiful action movie in video game form, with a cool protagonist and an incredible attention to detail.

Just Cause 3 can be a rather fun game, but it's not the sequel we were hoping for. There are some very impressive things to be found within its large-scale and explosive quest, and on its insanely large world of Medici, but technical problems and dated mechanics hold it back from living up to its potential.

Just Cause 3 is a sandbox game that works only if you create your own experience. But if you play it in a straight way, it shows only limitations (and some technical issues that we hope Avalanche will fix soon).

Just Cause 3 delivers what it does best: chaos and destruction. Though the world and gameplay feel monotonous at times, the wingsuit and other new additions are fun. But still no multiplayer, really?!
