I LOVE this game. Every character feels different to play with, which can be frustrating if you want to play casually. I imagine people whoI LOVE this game. Customization aspects are welcome.The only problem for me is that the game STILL requires you to play hundreds of hours just to unlock a small portion of what is available. Definite plus for longevity (?) of the title, but if you play casually, like me, it can be a tough pill to swallow-i, of course, refuse to pay ANY amount of money on microtransactions.Every time i grab the controller though, i have a great time.

Controls are also extremely responsive on the ps5, graphics are excellent and sound design is great. Now the cons are that the game should have a bigger roster (Like MK Armageddon if anyone remembers). Even though the sound design is good, soundtrack should be more like the movies. Lastly I wish their studio would hire a proper writer for a comprehensive story, I really feel like MK can have a captivating story if done correctly.Overall, 4.7/5. I've played hours of this game since I bought it weeks ago. Please keep on adding DLC's!

What to say about MK11. Well i usually dont leave reviews for games that are mainly online but this one was different. So to start i grew up playing the 3d MK games Starting with Deadly Alliance. So i always had a speical spot for mk. But it all changed with mk 11. I finally wanted to truly learn to play fighting games and learn the mechanic and advanced fundamentals of the genre. So after months of practicing and finally understanding things like frame data and zoning etc. I really enjoyed the anticipation of a new character realesing and it was really fun to meet and competitively compete with other players from launch until about kombat pack 2 release. I stoped playing around then so. But before im done the story i saw the ending online(played a few hours) i did play all of aftermath which was great. This game will hold a special part as truly the real first fighting game that i truly experienced and opended me to a whole new genre for real. I cant wait to see what NRS Does next hopefully its injustice 3. But man it was a fun time. SCORE 91/100

They look simply awful. Their costumes are so different (in extremely bad way) that you can hardly understand what character it's supposed to be. They are basically completely new characters now who have nothing in common with female characters from MK9 and even MK10, only similarity is their name, that's it. Extremely disappointing, pointless game. Only character who truly looks great is Noob Saibot. Scorpion was okay at best. Everyone else was just awful. One of the main things in fighting games in general are character looks/costumes. That's the first things that makes you choose a character. If characters looks awful, then you obviously wont choose them, because who wants to play with awful looking character.

The reason i didn't give 10 points was that base game is a little bit empty in terms of cosmetics and there is also another part of story locked in base game ?? But even if you have mortal Kombat X i highly recommend getting this one too (wait for discount tho)

Despite a convoluted story filled with silly retcons and nonsense, it's still fun to play through to see the (for now) official ending to the original Mortal Kombat story. With 12 additional characters and tons of skins, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is absolutely worth a buy for those who have yet to check out MK11. The new characters are still great additions to the roster for those who have experienced all the content since the beginning.

I thoroughly recommend Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate to anyone who has wanted to try a fighting game with substance, or who might be like me playing the series throughout the years. The graphics blew my mind when I first started playing, which makes me wish I had a 4K TV even more. I also found that I really got into the interesting story. And as usual for Mortal Kombat, the gameplay is amazing yet classic all at once. Overall, I found Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate as one of my favorites in the franchise and I wholly recommend it to everyone who is into this kind of fighting game, filled with plenty of blood and gore because it's effin' badass!

The developers made sure to keep the overall fighting experience as the main focus and it moves at around 60fps most of the time. So long as you have a good controller or can use the joycons with fighting games really well, this is a decent version to play. Of course, the main highlight of the Switch version is the fact that it is portable, so you can play it on the go unlike any other console version. The online portion of the game is hard to review – since you’re playing on Switch, which is wi-fi focused, it’s hard to say whether the slowdown is from the connection or the actual netcode. I do get some matches that play pretty smoothly and some that have tons of slowdown, so it’s very up and down when it comes to online.

Despite the off-putting online requirements for a disingenuous gacha system, the depth, style, robust content and vivid imagination which marks the eleventh chapter of this all-important, albeit controversial, fighting series far outweighs the negatives. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is mechanically, and arguably, one of the best fighting games to come out in the last decade. So, it’s a good job that this rather impressive, and now so much more complete, Nintendo Switch version is spot-on where it counts.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is a fantastic collection and the definitive way to experience this title, particularly on the new consoles where it runs smoother (and is far gorier) than ever. Even on older hardware it still shines. While day one players who have already accrued the majority of the included content will have less incentive to splash the cash on the Ultimate edition, it stands as an impressive catalogue to the achievements of NetherRealm over the past year and a half. If you haven't played it yet, now is the best time to dive in. If you have, here above are all your reasons to dial back into the experience.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the best way to get into the game if you don't already own it, with amazing graphics, performance and next to no loading time. It lands all of its punches perfectly.

I’ve gone on record several times to say that Mortal Kombat 11 is a fantastic game, and this Ultimate package is a fantastic deal. If there’s anyone out there still curious but hasn’t yet taken the plunge, there’s no better time.

Obviously, if you already own MK11 in some form, going for this Ultimate version is a bit redundant. I would suggest getting everything you wanted piecemeal through your respective online store, but if you haven’t picked up this game yet or have just got yourself a shiny new system and are looking for a great looking, great playing fighting game, you just found it here. I highly suggest this title to any fighting game fan.

MK 11 is a deserving cross-gen title with a fitting upgrade on Xbox Series X and PS5 made for people like me who may have snoozed on the initial release. Or even people who were there on day one but didn’t check out any of the DLC. While I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and Injustice sequel, MK 11 Ultimate Edition is a great void filler to close out this generation of consoles that will be playable whenever I upgrade to the Xbox Series X.

Other than the three new characters, the super fast load times and beautiful visuals are about all that Ultimate has to offer. I will say that it’s a shame that just days after Ultimate was released there came word of yet more DLC for the game (the 1995 movie skin and voiceover pack) which is of course not included in Ultimate. I have had some friends lament some frustration over how monetized MK11 is, and I absolutely see where they’re coming from. It’s not a business practice I like to see because we’re used to games having a final, all inclusive edition released and we just don’t have that with MK11. Maybe we’ll see a Komplete Edition like there was with MK9. Regardless, you can’t really go wrong with MK11U if you’re looking for a superb fighting game on current or next-gen.

Overall I’m thrilled with the game, there are settings that make it easy to just pick up and have an easy fight… or you can ramp up the difficulty and really challenge yourself to become the best fighter you can. Highly recommended for old fans and new fans alike!

When you strip all of the bells and whistles off of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition, you are still left with a painfully mediocre fighting game with a horrendous monetization system. Sure the fighting may be fun in short bursts, and the gore factor may be fun eye candy, but this game felt as though it didn’t have any care put into it outside of the basic fighting controls.
