I love this game. It got me through so mu years of high school. It definitely was it's predecessor to gw1 but that's because it improved uponI love this game. Story mode is a bit off. But I still loved the missions. Infinity time is amazing solo, or with friends. This game is a must play.

After the initial (very) disappointment, I tried a few round of PvZ GW 2, the game offers so much fun, so many classes and sub-classes which I initially thought they were just cosmetically different, and I was wrong.Also to my surprise the game offers very well single player experience, apart from the missions, every multi-player modes are available for single play with AI bot, which is a huge plus for me. Now I simply cannot put the game down, and last time I had this feeling I was playing the Witcher 3.I pre-ordered Overwatch and joined the game on day one, but I did not find the game very interesting, the game was very well made, but was just not for me. Fortunately I found GW2, and I am glad I did.ADD SPLIT SCREEN PLEASE!!! It it not fair that PC is the only version without this feature!!!

Many short-sighted people mistakenly believe the complaints about this are due to a lack of internet access, so if you have internet you have nothing to worry about. The problem with this is actually that it transforms what could be a quality game to add to your collection to play forever, into a glorified rental that, given the reputation of the publisher, will only be playable for 2-3 years before it becomes nothing but fond memories. Publishers are counting on this, because in theory if you are unable to play the old game, you have more incentive to buy the new one. They also do this to ensure that no tampering can be done with the premium game's free-to-play currency system, which is an insult to gamers that remember the days when those "services" were obtainable not through real world money, but through cheat codes, which were free to everyone. So if you are willing to spend $60 on a disc that will eventually become nothing but a drink coaster and treats you like you didn't even buy the game in the first place, expecting you to pay more after the fact, go right ahead and buy it. But if you value the ability to go back and play your favorite games whenever YOU feel like doing so, and games that allow you to relax in an alternate world instead of requiring you to create a budget for ingame spending, avoid it at all costs.

I feel sorry for Garden Warfare 2. It’s a great game (right now the best utilizing Frostbite 3 engine) that probably will be dismissed contemptuously by those too “adult” to shoot corn kernels at zombies.

Despite its pretty environments and swollen production value, Garden Warfare 2 feels a lot like its smartphone cousins, less a videogame, in the noble sense, and more a tar pit, swallowing down your time and providing little in return but useless virtual tat.

The online playing is extremely unbalanced !I have experienced the ' Plants vs Imps' in the beta, 'Roses vs Zombies' after release and 'Zombies Warfare' after that, which give me the impression that EA don't have a fair balancing ability.Also, the number of maps are quite few in this early stage of the game. I don't think I have spent that much of time on this game than the first one.The single player is improved, by a lot. But it is never the point for these series.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is one of the less violent and yet still fun to play shooter games. Unlike the first this new one is loaded with many more features like graveyard ops, AI's replacing real people, campaign modes and more. It is fun to play, but certain aspects of the game need tweaking. Herbal Assault is far to difficult. The AI's on any mode shoot you down in air or a drone far to easily. You should be able to select (in my opinion) every opponent (AI) you are going against and their levels (but offer presets). They need more character diversity and ability diversity. And they need to do character class tweaking. They should offer a mode where you can be one of the garden ops bosses too, and have more campaign mode. The old maps from GW1 were ditched so it does need more maps. And they need more modes and things to do in my opinion. I know it sounds like a hate the game, but I don't, it's very fun and much better then GW1 in my opinion, however, like any game there is ALWAYS room for improvement, this is no exception. But it is a good game and I highly recommend it for anybody who wants a new game because it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO fun. So while there is room for improvement, it is a wonderful, funny, and fantastic game overall.

With its less-than-full-price and short list of features, the first Garden Warfare felt like EA wasn't willing to risk much on the odd idea of turning a cutesy mobile free-to-play tower defense game into a console online shooter. It feels like a little piece of cosmic justice that while the Medal of Honor reboot failed to make any inroads with that audience, Garden Warfare somehow became a runaway success that warranted a full-priced, fully featured sequel.

I'm more of a casual shooter fan, and I really love the things EA did to drag the more casual players into the carnage. It has some single player campaigns. Though not huge they are fun for casuals. They even added a thing where you can solo with 3 AI. Which I love. They added a "backyard" with this staging area "base" for the players. The backyard is a stalemate park between both factions bases and is a fight that just keeps revving up (including all the bosses). I did this split screen with my son. We really enjoyed it. Though right now there isn't much reward for doing it. I have a feeling they will add more quest to it, which will make this an incredible split screen and solo quest area.They also made sure your progress in the first one moves with you. Your base has a mailbox and they mail you loyalty rewards, which includes all your unlocks you earned in the first game, a bunch of cards, and a 100k coins for your loyalty. They also added daily quest like MMO's which encourage/pay in game coins for completion. And on top of this you earn stars as you complete missions, which increases your XP earned. This will help everyone open all gear quicker and encourage casuals to get out there and enjoy the PVP.I really enjoy the improvements so far. The AI toons are a great addition. Though I wish they added it to Garden Ops (if no one joins). I also would like to see the AI added to split screen or the option to maybe invite your other XB1 friends to split screen GO. They have added the ability to make all matches private or invite only. So that is great if you want to only play with friends/family. If they keep adding daily/Solo quests and add more rewards to the backyard this game has a lot to offer for the price.

It’s not as exciting and refreshing as two years ago, but that’s not too big a complaint when it’s more co-op defence and liberally borrowed and adapted multiplayer, all slathered in the quirky Plants vs. Zombies universe.

Yeah, it’s a full-priced, online multiplayer game (which can be a tough sell), but it’s one that’s jam-packed with content from a developer that’s been typically generous with delivering new updates and support.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has a massive amount of rich, entertaining and wacky content for players to enjoy. I know I’ll be spending another 30 hours on Garden Ops alone, but EA has managed to bring some interesting, new ingredients that help make this series as fun and addicting, as it was the first time around.

PopCap Games didn’t just recapture their old thunder, they magnified it to Zeus-like proportions. The quirky series from three years ago has managed to become a masterclass example in value.
