I already reviewed the simple 'Project Cars' game but also wanted to add more content and recognition to the 'Game of the Year Edition'.As II already reviewed the simple 'Project Cars' game but also wanted to add more content and recognition to the 'Game of the Year Edition'.As I already said: this game compiles terrific sound design and effects, is visually really beautiful, offers varied tracks, great soundtrack, many different meteorological conditions, allows you to play as you want and with the level of difficulty you want, permits a lot of customization and game modes and offers a long story mode.Despite its few flaws as the repetitiveness, the high difficulty of driving under the rain, some really unattractive or annoying cars and bad AI from time to time, it still remains one of the greatest race game I have ever played. In this particular edition it is just more valuable cars and interesting circuits demonstrating the total abnegation and dedication of Slightly Mad Studios to their game. Definitely a must-play.

Slightly Mad Studios gave Project CARS the face lift it needed with over 500 improvements and bug fixes, a new fleet of vehicles and new locations to choose from. The learning curve is still quite steep and not all of the problems are ironed out, but this is a much better title and will provide both beginners and veterans with a new challenge and level of enjoyment that should last for many hours on end.

Project CARS: Game of the Year Edition is a great package packed with everything one needs for a thrilling and demanding racing experience, being the perfect jump in point for newcomers to get everything available from the get go.

Slightly Mad Studios have, in the year since release, tidied up Project CARS no end. There’s still a few small niggles here and there, but overall this is now a title I will happily have adorning my shelf.

If you’re new to the game, you might check it out and keep an eye out for patches and updates that improve stability. If you’ve played the original I’d say skip this one and wait for Project CARS 2.

With several more or less notable improvements Project Cars Game of the Year Edition is a better package than the original release. Although the difference is not all that big compared to the original release, the low price point and added content makes Project Cars a great choice for people looking for a demanding and rewarding racing experience.

Prospective drivers will have to work hard for it but, ultimately, for those prepared to work and put in the effort, there is a massively rewarding driving experience here.

Project CARS GOTY, simply put, is a good racing game that just became even better: Plenty of cars and tracks to choose from, compelling and realistic gameplay, plus it looks drop dead gorgeous. If anyone was waiting for a time to jump on the Project CARS train, now is the time.
