Игра вроде не такая уж и требовательная, но спустя час игры начинают болеть глаза.Как рогалик на портативке это очень даже не плохая игра. Но лучше брать по скидке

This game deserves a lot more recognition.You start out with just a bat, wandering around beating up enemies. After a couple of enemies you gain a mutation. This is random and you have to make your way to the final boss with whatever means the game gives you. This system goes pretty deep. Many possible combinations cause there are so many different mutations. Add in some perks, and items on the way and you become a powerful, mutant.Getting to the boss is quite hard, but you get better with each run. It took me 53 runs to even get to the boss once, only to get wiped out. I keep coming back to this.This is one of my top favorite games, and I have played games for over 30 years starting with Nes.I want to thank the team behind it for this jewel of a game. Absolutely fantastic

A hit-and-miss mix painted up in '80s neon. It's not bad – just not as rad as it could've been.

Had the development team put together a point-and-click adventure or platformer set in this world, it would have been much more enjoyable. Because we could focus on a story, we could investigate, see the causes of mutations and inspect why life has been reduced to this ramshackle society. Instead, we’re used to dying in the wastes before being recycled ad infinitum. And what grates the most, is that I wanted to love this game. It has ideas, it has scope, but everything is hidden beneath a smudged ‘CRT’ veneer.

RAD is an excellent roguelike, that oozes the signature Double Fine charm from its terrifyingly mutated pores. Beautiful art direction from Lee Petty’s team and solid replay value from the extensive combination of powers each run make it extremely worthwhile.

There are kernels of good ideas throughout RAD, and none of my problems with it feel like they can’t be fixed or tweaked to make the experience less frustrating. Unfortunately, its current iteration falls squarely into the Double Fine catalog of work that’s great to look at, but only fleetingly entertaining to play.

Although there are many different mutations on offer in RAD, their gameplay impact is often similar. Roguelike veterans will find nothing new here - but it just might be the perfect starting point for genre newbies.

RAD is truly rad and its unashamed love affair and exploitation of the 80s is as infectious as the mutations you gain to power your way through the game’s procedurally-generated post-apocalyptic wastelands.

RAD is a nice throwback to the eighties alongside being a decent roguelite. It won't be a roguelike you put over a hundred hours into, but it will give you enough value for its $19.99 price point. Double Fine hit the mark on making RAD stand out, despite having shortcomings around combat and performance issues when too much is going on.

An enjoyable retro-style rogue-lite; in RAD you should expect brutal gameplay in a gaudy and synthesised world. The random nature of the world sometimes proves to be a problem, but not enough to diminish what is a fantastically loud take on the genre. If only for letting players smack about mutants with their engorged limbs and a baseball bat, RAD lives up to its name. Just try to stop playing it, you’ll struggle.

You’ll want to check out Rad for its unique concept, addicting gameplay and beautiful style, you just may want to consider it on a different console. The Switch version has too many aesthetical issues for me to feel confident that it represents its true potential. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t — it still plays great and personally, I’m going to keep perfecting my runs to, maybe eventually, become rad.

For a small asking price, Rad will reliably give you a few hours of novelty, as you explore the wasted punk-dystopia and mutate yourself to better clear the land of its inhabitants. Beyond that initial entry point, you will find yourself dogged by an experience that has little to offer in the way of depth or surprises. The core mechanics make for tense, hectic combat, but also encourage you not to engage in it.

RAD doesn’t do anything particularly new for the roguelike genre, but it doesn’t necessarily need to in order to be an enjoyable game in its own right. The over-the-top '80s neon aesthetic is consistently charming, the level-to-level gameplay is both rewarding and nail-bitingly intense, and there’s a good amount of ‘meta’ progress to be made beyond the limits of a single run. On the other hand, the RNG can be brutal in how it distributes power-ups between runs, and overall performance on the Switch (especially in handheld) leaves something to be desired. Even given these shortcomings, though, we’d give RAD a cautious recommendation. If you find yourself drawn to the likes of Dead Cells, Risk of Rain, Ironcast, or any other release in the massively popular roguelike genre, RAD could be right up your alley – assuming you can look past its annoying problems.

It may not look as good graphically as the other consoles, but the portability factor made me buy it on Switch. Turn off the CRT in display option and it looks better. It is definately worth checking out for $20. I'm not a big rogue like person, but I can't stop playing it!

In some time, lost to the future, glowing rocks fall to the planet and bring about the second Apocalypse. The entire world is broken, and irradiated, covered in strange plants, and deadly mutants following not one, but two world ending events. You are chosen to become the Altered One, to be remade when you die. You venture out into a procedurally generated world to find effigies known as respirators, that have to power to restore life to the world. As you progress you gather Rads, now normally this would be a bad thing, radiation and all, but the Remade absorbs this corruption and slowly mutates. These mutations are random and provide you with a wild array of abilities from throwing fireballs to laying eggs that hatch into little spider things with your head on them. Equip with a bat and these mutations, you take on tons of enemies and massive bosses. Collect floppies to open locks, and cassette tapes are money to grab up useful items from the games random stores. The downside to all this Awesome, when you die, you lose everything on your body, Mutations, tapes, and floppies. The entire game is saturated with the 80s from the feel of the music to the characters. RAD is an incredibly addictive game, with wild combinations of powers that should be fun for most. Challenging in a fun way RAD is a must have for Rouge-lite and Beat-Em-Up fans alike!

Rad is a competently made rougelike. However, compered to other games like it, the gameplay is quite monotone and there‘s too little variety regarding the characters. It’s also also quite easy, leaving veterans of the genre feeling bored.

This game reminds me of what a game of the movie FREAKED (1993) meets Stanger Things would be. I'm sorry guys, I wish I could say this is one to save money on, BUT THIS ISN'T ONE TO SKIP, this is one to play and tell your friends about! That's because somehow this gem has managed to stay under the radar. Get your freak on, Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha freak on!

RAD has excellent gameplay and great visuals but is very, very difficult. Fans of extremely hard games will likely get a kick out of it, but people looking to slowly power up in order to make their rogue-lites easier should stay away.

RAD is a lot deeper than it looks at first glance, and a lot more challenging too. Both are good things, and the procedurally generated layouts and mutations guarantee that variety will always be served. Sometimes you’ll play for minutes and other times for hours – I’m about eight hours deep so far – but the more time you spend with RAD, the more likely you are to click “New Run” when you finally die.

RAD is actually quite a fun game to play, the different mutations keep the game interesting and, as the game doesn’t give you much about the story, a lot of things are a mystery, and enjoyable to discover. The long loading screens when you start or when you die do ruin the games flow a little bit, but there is enough content, and it is challenging enough, to keep you interested for a while.

One of the best roguelikes for a long time, whose randomised abilities work perfectly to add variety and unpredictability to its tale of an 80s style post-apocalypse.

RAD conquered us with its mix of hack n slash, rogue-like and charming post-apocalyptic world... and fans of the 80s will appreciate it even more.

RAD is the sort of roguelike that's enjoyable once everything starts to click but after that, repetition and frustration unfortunately rear their ugly mutated heads. It's still a fun game but one that you'll likely only pick up and play every once in a while.
