I'd say wait until the first Expansion comes out if you wish to buy The Division, as you will be able to go through the Dark Zone with ease to get the gear you need for the end game.

I would not say it’s the best shooter I’ve played on the Xbox One, nor is it a huge leap forward in video gaming as a whole, but I’ll be damned if I’m not having fun with it.

They allow for so much customization with each ability being unique and have different perks to them if you want like the sticky bomb can have a bigger explosion and deal more damage. The perks and talents affect your character with the all the talents being different with some being better than others. The perks are unlocked by upgrading you Base of Operations. The guns and armor can all have different perks and that is nice as you will hardly ever find the same piece with the same buffs but there are so many that it is difficult to completely customize your character the way you want as there can sometimes be to much to control. The "story" mission are fun and interesting with all of them being different but it lacks interesting characters on the "good" side with some of the "bad" guys being unique and interesting. The world it is in has a very depressing and ominous feel to it when you discover things like mobile recordings and echo's. The collectibles are cool and give a back story to a game that has no story but there is so much to collect that sometimes it can get annoying when the next one is on the other side of the map.Next is PVP which isn't the best but can sometimes have fun moments. However, the problems are numerous and even with the recent patches there are still huge problems. I feel like enemies don't spawn outside of landmarks which forces you to fight extremely hard enemies that are like Chuck Norris on speed. Also, don't bother going in solo as every enemy will kill you in seconds and you can be an easy target for rogue agents. The drops in general are OK but I find it annoying that I get greens or blues when I have full purples as there is no point in picking them up as you can only carry 7-9 items that you should save for purples or yellows. This game is OK but there are many problems with it and the problems are easy to fix with a few patches but we shouldn't have to wait 1-2 months before we get the game we were meant to get. It is a trend that could severely damage the industry.Thanks for reading.

Playing the game becomes boring quickly if you are not doing a main story quest or playing with your friends in the dark zone. The dark zone is the best part of the game but also its major downfall. The dark zone is really the only endgame activity and it gets boring very quick. Destiny had the raids which were designed well and kept you engaged throughout. The Division is fun to play but lacks the hooks to keep me playing.

This game that could've gone so wrong, so easily, is already off to a great start with more content both free and paid set to come over the next year.

The Division is a beautiful start for a project that will have to show in the next months it can convince players to keep playing it thanks to a constant flow of new contents for the end game. Only time will tell us if Ubisoft and Massive have done the perfect job.

The Division offers a beautiful and realistic world which is greatly supported by fun and well-balanced gameplay with lots of variety in skills and weapons. But for now the game lacks high level content, making the experience a bit repetitive in the end.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say The Division is the online shooter experience that will usher the genre into a new golden age, but it is a worthy alternative for those who are looking for a more methodical and immersive experience than what games like Destiny can offer. There's no getting away from the fact The Division is the best open-world that Ubisoft has ever created, while the gameplay is consistently entertaining and cohesive. As you progress into the Dark Zones, they do the same, and you get strength in numbers.Single player, the game is stark, and lonely. They nail that ambiance, but it is not, in my mind, quite as fun. Don't get me wrong, still a very fun game, but it really does shine with 4 people to play with. Even with two it plays well.All in all, this is a very solid game, and quite a bit of fun. Something I look forward to playing each day.

The Division is not a perfect game. There are flaws. But the flaws are mostly because it's straddling genres, and this is also what gives it so many different things to enjoy. There are complicated inventory systems, daft explosives, a big open world to explore, and incredible multiplayer, but you don't need to get invested in any of them to play the game. The Division is not a perfect game, but it's really fun. Which is sort of the point, isn't it?

The Division is a very good game. Mixing singleplayer and multiplayer in a splendid New York setting, the map offers plenty of content and the Dark zone is a really nice PVP/PVE place to play. The gameplay is simple, the AI is far from good, but the entire experience is a must.

It's a squad-based game that just happens to take place in an open world, and that's basically it. I don't see Division lasting as long as other, similar games either months down the line, as it simply doesn't allow for anything on a raid-like level to truly hook in the dedicated crowd.

I don’t think it’s very good, especially if you’ve a mind to play by yourself. It’s certainly addictive, and it certainly has plenty of stuff for you to do. That goes doubly for people who plan to roll with a squad of friends. As in Borderlands, the general tedium of loot-grinding is more fun when you’ve got people to chat with. If you’re looking for a mindless way to kill a few days/weeks, The Division exists...But don’t expect to remember much of it when it’s over.
