On ps4 at least, this isnt worth anyone's time or money

Un simulateur de conduite des tchoutchous qui se veut réaliste et il semble l'être d'une certaine façon mais la mise en oeuvre est ici àUn simulateur de conduite des tchoutchous qui se veut réaliste et il semble l'être d'une certaine façon mais la mise en oeuvre est ici à l'emporte-pièce, pour ne pas dire à l'arrache et sent un amateurisme très suspect... or, on se rend compte de ce qui cloche en avisant le nom du développeur : Dovetail Games !Ce sont en effet des cloches dans leur domaine de prédilection, à savoir des simulations trop souvent bâclées et bardées de DLC à n'en plus finir... et de bugs également et d'ailleurs, plus d'un an après sa sortie sur console, on a encore des patches ici ?!... je trouve ça inquiétant mais je suppose que ça patche l'un ou quelques uns des 23 DLC disponibles (sic !) facturés en grande majorité 30 balles et 14 balles pour les autres !Le contenu du jeu de base est en effet plutôt réduit à la portion congrue... alors que la-dite simulation ne fait pas très "simulation" et que la réalisation globale se révèle très médiocre. Le jeu n'est par ailleurs certainement pas amusant mais à l'inverse rapidement rébarbatif... où est mon TGV ? (pas de TGV dans le jeu de base) pourquoi je peux pas rouler à 300 km/h (t'as qu'un tortillard rosbif qui se traîne à 200 dans le jeu de base) pourquoi l'interface générale est si merdique ? (parce que...) pourquoi tout semble improvisé comme un jour de grève à la SNCF ? (l'humour anglais ?).Bref, je suppose que ç'aurait pu être bien mais les "missions" ne sont pas intéressantes et le moindre excès de vitesse y met fin immédiatement... et quelle lenteur, quelle apathie à cheminer ainsi dans ces tas de ferraille qui roulent à gauche... pfff !

Each DLC add something different from the other and improves on the previous one. I'll list the pros and cons down below.PROS: very realistic train physics and sounds (especially on the latest DLC, East Coastway), you can walk around the tracks, stations, your train or even board a train from the AI and be the passenger, a very relaxing game experience, excellent graphics, all trains are very complete, the game keeps on improving with frequent updates and frequent new content. CONS: Short routes (between 35 and 75 km), as for now only focuses on 3 countries (UK, USA and Germany), trains aren't very frequent if you want to be a passenger even on German S-Bahn commuter trains which are known for their high frequency and the business model of the game (DLC after DLC after DLC). In summary: if you want a good realistic train simulator that even simulates the relaxing vibe of train journeys, but can also simulate the challenging timetables of commuter trains, well go ahead and buy it !

This gets lots of things so right but there's too many problems letting it down. In short, this is very much a train simulator rather than a railway simulator. Let me explain.Plonk yourself into London at 8:30am and where is the rush hour traffic? There's maybe 1 train every 15mins let alone the lack of passengers. There should be constant movement, but its just dead! The general lack of traffic on the line while playing through scenarios really does remove some of the immersion. The lack of accurate traffic is also frustrating with the great Western railway route only featuring 3 trains. Where are the electrics? Of course you can't include everything that would come down the line but driving down the route with nothing using the nicely modelled overhead wiring is a bit off.Being a train nerd I didn't need to use the tutorials to get going. However they are obviously lacking. We need signalling tutorials for the different routes for beginners. Lots of scenarios require you to obey and chase yellows and begginerswould have no clue! I don't know how a beginner would know to use the "contact signalman" function either which is required on many scenarios. And the game made me repeat the same compulsory tutorial for each new route. 1. Get in train, 2. Play with cameras. I shouldn't have to do this 5 times over for each new route.Then we get into the performance issues. So the draw distance is pretty bad on ps4. Anything further than 10 meters or so away looks pretty terrible and the framerate walking around busy stations is unplayable at times. Also noticed loads of visual "fuzzy" glitches, especially the train wheels. Big fuzz balls. But I do appreciate that optimisation isn't easy. There seems to be a really extreme surround sound effect which is really off-putting at times. Panning around the cab moves the sounds so drastically from one ear to another that it makes you feel deaf in one ear. It's just too much in my opinion. Frustrating as the sounds otherwise are great. Wish there was an option for a more stereo experience.Certain shortcuts really need to be implemented for the ps4. You cannot drive the BR DMU outside of the cab as their is no controller shortcut for the gear selector. Pretty frustrating when everything else has a shortcut bound to it.Some good points though. The trains do look amazing and the weathering is superb. The sounds are great despite the surround sound effect. The track detail is really nice. The trains feel big and heavy. They rock about as they should - Dovetail have made some great advances with the physics.We need a multilayer!In conclusion this game is great if you are more of a train enthusiast rather than a railway enthusiast. No matter how good the locomotives are modelled, if the surrounding traffic on the line just isn't realistic, my immersion is ruined. We need real rush hour traffic, both with the volume of trains and the people!

Train Sim World 2020 is an extremely realistic game made by dovertail games, with heavily detailed tracks and trains from all over the world.Train Sim World 2020 is an extremely realistic game made by dovertail games, with heavily detailed tracks and trains from all over the world. this game also has some truly amazing graphics with insane attention to detail. but sadly this game in my opinion is made for a certain type of gamers who are also train enthusiasts, because if you jump into this game thinking its arcade like then you will be wrong this game stays very true to real life and many simulation fans like me know that it is key to be as faithful to the real life as possible. In conclusion this game is perfect for hardcore simulation fans but i don't think its the best game for some one who doesn't play many simulators or doesn't like the rail way because it could feel repetitive for casual players, but i personally love that it keeps to real life as much as it possibly can. So IF you are an enthusiast this will no doubt tickle your fancy, if you know very little about the real workings of trains you may find yourself a bit overwhelmed.

If you're looking for high-octane action, then move along the carriage and be prepared to give up your seat for someone who needs it more than you do. If, however, you seek an almost Zen like experience then you will find much to like about this reboot of last year's Train Sim World. Additional routes, including the lovely Northern Trans-Pennine, and Class 101 DMU, as well as the revamped tutorials and scoring system, only add to the need for perfection on the part of the player. If you wish for an escape, and a one that brings quiet thrills as well as being a relaxing and enjoyable diversion, then this is for you. Please note, due to adverse weather, this review will shortly be replaced by a bus service.
