One of the best wrestling games ever. Amazing game for wrestling fans with an amazing roster and awesome gameplay and game features.

It's good for wrestling fans... however, the in-game roster is lack-luster, and unlike wrestling games of yesteryear, there's not really much in the way of storylines/cutscenes. The game tries to make conflicts/feuds... but more or less a match happens, where occasionally stuff can happen in those matches if the people are in a feud, and that's for the most part it.Customization is great... can customize arenas, CAWs, belts, weekly-roster of shows, stats, etc, etc.

TheI can understand why so many people are complaining about the controls in this game, it can be confusing and not user friendly at all. The difficulty can be a little challenging even on "EASY" and can take a while to get use to. I think this game targets more the Wrestling fanatics and if you are just the type of person that likes to pick up a game and play than this game is not for you
Fighting feels sluggish. Come on, this is supposed to be wrestling as seen on TV! Even though there is more moves and combos than in Virtua Fighter 5, the action doesn't "click" as good as it should.

It includes a huge roster and many gaming modes, such as the hours of joy it delivers are. The unprecedented depth of gameplay and the polished appearance, almost to the last detail, make me wonder what else could a fanatic WWE fan ask for.
The big thing to take away from WWE 2K16 is that not much has changed, yet again. The roster is a lot bigger, and features that were missing last time do return, but this game being back in line with your 2014 release isn’t something we should be thankful for. The fighting, which was slated last year anyway, only seems to have been limited yet again, but not to a devastating degree - it just still isn’t good enough.
It's a technically meager but very extensive wrestling simulation, showing the fascination of entertainment sports in great detail.

For example The Ultimate Warrior pinning Honky Tonk Man in a few seconds after a finisher, in real life. You should sometimes be able to do that in the game also, if the wrestler is damaged enough).Easily the most wrestlers to EVER to be in a wrestling game. Its almost mind boggling the sheer amount of wrestlers on offer here. From 1980's through to today. Cant complain about any of that at all. Its awesome. But there's things I like in 2K15, that have been changed here. The Submission system is interesting but kind of bizarre. I havent completely learned the sub system yet. So they made the sub system really unpredictable but the pin system, SLOWER and more predictable. Id prefer them BOTH to be unpredictable if the wrestler is damaged enough. The pin system was more challenging in WWE 2K15 and made for more unpredictable behaviour than the new system. Its to easy for me, when I play against the Ai OR when I play against a Human opponent. It shouldn't be easy to kick out after a few finishers. This could be avoided with a PIN SLIDER. So the player could make it hard/faster if they want to or not. It should be personal preference based. The Universe mode I haven't played enough of yet, but its my go to when I finish everything else. the 2K showcase is great. Really enjoying it and I didn't have any issues with the 2K15 My Career or 2K16 My career mode. But the real meat im interested in Is the Universe mode, when I've completed everythign else and unlocked everything. If they can keep improving that every year. Having 3 rivalries and 4 matches in an event is good. But this mode could be improved even further. The gameplay is great, real nail biting against human opponents and sometimes against Ai opponents, the gameplay is getting better, with each game. Sure there's still bugs, but like NBA 2K, it took years to become amazing. I think this game is heading in a fantastic realistic direction. I love the direction 2K is going down, to make it more a Wrestling simulator, NOT an arcade game. But again, TO easy to kick out from pins. After a few finishers (or the wrestler is in the red) the bar should speed up or become more unpredictable than it is, so it continues with the nail biting excitement, right to the very end of the match.
Yuke’s made some improvements taking the series in the right direction, but do not expect any revolutionary changes, because the most important aspect – the combat system – was only slightly modified.
WWE 2K16 brings some improvements, but not enough to be the game fans deserve. Smashing the opponent from the ladders through the table is great, until you turn to the audience and realize they look like they came from a PS2 game. But if you close your eyes, the game at least sounds awesome.

Just about every system is more of an adventure in terrible game designReset my password just to log back in and review this mess of a game. Just about every system is more of an adventure in terrible game design than fun simulation. The pin and reversal systems are bad and the submission system is terrible. It's a frustrating mess to play and you often feel more excited that you won based on pure luck than any actual skill.

The graphics are about the same as last years which means they are pretty good.I do not play this game. I enjoy booking and watching Ai vs Ai. The play is pretty good. I turn the reversal sliders down so there isnt lots of reversing but lots of heat reversals just like in the real wrestling. Blood looks good. The selling is good and matches can get intense. The enterances are great. No longer do you have load screens in between and before the start of the match. I dont play career or showcase so i have no opinion on those. I play universe. I have an all caw universe. I set my own rivaries. On ai vs ai you now get the choice on how a story branches. For example the scene where one puts hand out to shake you saw either shake or slap hand away. Now you can choose from shake, slap hand away or attack. Pretty good stuff. You must tweak the attribs to get the match you are looking for but once you do with some experimenting you can make a very good sim out of it.Yes there are bugs and glitches but I haven't seen many so its pretty stable but even when it did glitch it revovered and kept going. 82 hours in and only one freeze. If you like wrestling you will enjoy this game.

Lots of characters to pick, and designing your own wrestler to go through career mode is great fun! The mini-games are a bit fiddly, and the tags could do with a bit of tidying up, however this doesn't take away from the enjoyment!
WWE 2K16 is clearly a step in the right direction. The game may not be perfect visually but it has a lot of content and fun new gameplay elements (the new submission system has got to go though).
WWE 2K16 ends up being a disappointment despite the few additions implemented to offset its shortcomings. This year's release feels just like WWE 2K15 but with a different coat of paint. Even the great detail of the characters seems sabotaged by the lackluster aspect of the audience.
WWE 2K16 is a better game than last 2K15, largely thanks to the expansive range of options and features that have been reinstated. The 2K Showcase is fantastic, but the core gameplay hasn't changed enough to warrant a hearty recommendation.
The game's only real misstep is the wildly inconsistent graphical presentation, but the gameplay and amount of features and things to do more than makes up for some occasionally shoddy visuals.

It improves greatly on its rosterWWE 2K16 is a huge improvement over last years instalment WWE 2K15, and improves in many many many ways! It improves greatly on its roster with over a 100 unique superstars, and beefs up and improves its creation suite and allows for much better customisation. It also improves on its game modes by adding back many match types that were missing last year and is much better for it. Lastly it makes a huge leap of an improvement on its MyCareer mode, by making it much harder, fleshed out and more enjoyable in every little way, it may not be perfect, but its a vast improvement. In summary, WWE 2K16 is a very big improvement over 2K15 and fixes all the problems with that game, and is the best wrestling to be released in many years.
Just like a superstar getting vindication at Wrestlemania, WWE 2K16 has completed a grand comeback following last year's lackluster entry. It feels like a total package this time around, and the gameplay, for the most part, is balanced and entertaining. I love the visuals too, even if the commentary leaves something to be desired. And there's a ton to do, without Vince McMahon getting in the way. Pick up a copy and go wild.
A bigger roster, more finely-tuned gameplay mechanics and a more versatile creation system help make WWE 2K16 the current-gen superstar that it wants to be, even if some inconsistent ideas and bugs do hold it back from time to time.
Thanks to improved mechanics and a solid 2K Showcase, WWE 2K16 is a significant improvement over last year's lacking release. However, the technical hiccups found in prior games are still littered throughout this outing, and continue to undermine the experience.

They are written by astro turfers for 2k that get paid to write good reviews. The game is a horrible, broken, glitchy mess. Characters will randomly start spazzing out, teleport around the ring, glitch into each other, etc. The computer ai is horrible and completely cheap on any difficulty setting. The graphics are also an embarassment for the current generation of consoles. It looks like an upscaled PS3 game. Don't waste your hard earned money on this game. Go rent it at Redbox and see that I speak the truth!
WWE fans will love this game, but some aspects such as wrestling mechanics and the general graphical appearance need to improve in the future.
I’ll keep defying gravity as Adrian Neville, and defying expectations as Dolph Ziggler, because WWE 2K16 is as close to a fusion of performance and competition as a wrestling game has ever gotten. That’s what I come to wrestling for, and that’s what 2K16 delivers.
WWE 2k16 solves almost every problem that the previous game had, making it one of the most enjoyable wrestling games of the last few years.

The new reversal, pin &I applaud 2K for taking this game in the Simulation gameplay direction and away from the 'arcadey' style gameplay. The new reversal, pin & submission systems add to this simulation along with the chain grappling system returning. I'm not sure why people whinge about this style of gameplay, they do want a close representation to what they see on WWE TV right? Because that's what you get in this game. Real wrestling is not so fast-paced as it was in THQ's video game series, WWE 2K16 is the closest to the real thing as you're gonna get.

Kick out after kick out, scorpion death locks, sharpshooters, and finally a superplex on an exhausted Bret Hart for the 1-2-3. Sting stood tall as the new champion. Yeah it felt like a big match. It played like a big match. Great graphics, huge and impressive roster. Some minor glitches that need to be patched. Mangers play and act as they should. I retained the tag team gold with a well placed distraction. Just like on tv. And there are quite a few surprises for managers. I highly recommend getting the season pass or at the very least invest in the unlock everything feature. With such a huge roster and a wealth of options, this year's game should not be missed. It is no fire pro, but those games are different animals. And for anyone wishing for Aki controls, just stop. Those controls are old, they haven't aged well, and the are not missed. This game has great graphics, the gear looks amazing, the crowd sounds amazing, and the game feels real. The submission system will take time to get used too for some, and the reversal system is cool and add that much needed ring drama. Go forth and buy this game, create, and make your own wrestlemania moments.
For years each and every WWE fan was hoping for a game which would allow them to replicate the tension , drama and moments that we see duringFor years each and every WWE fan was hoping for a game which would allow them to replicate the tension , drama and moments that we see during the real life matches on TV. Year after year Thq - followed by 2K went on frustrating the fans in one way or another by gifting us with Average or Above Average titles. The hope had been lost, The long time followers including myself was thinking "what is wrong? why isnt there a WWE game which could be as good as 'SMACKDOWN Here Comes The Pain' which was released around 10 years ago. It is during that time that 2K first announced the 2K16 title , and one of the first announcements was it had the largest roster in any game in the history of WWE. Well eventhough that caught my attention , afterwards i began to think that it would complete the makeover from 2k15 to 2k16 , just the 120+ would be the main feature , but 2K surprisingly went on announcing features after features and finally i had a feeling that this could be the title that takes a WWE game back into the elite category. After months and months of waiting yesterday i finally got my hands on it.In the very first match i played as Sting against the WHC Seth Rollins , as soon as the entrances began i realized it was looking much better than the previous title, There was a noticable difference from the graphics i saw in the pre build versions , The arena lighting effects were a delight to watch in the previous title and in 2K16 it has much more depth and detail. The hair , the textures, the details along with the reddish color that appears in the chest after several chops are a delight to the fans. I'd infact give 4/5 for graphics. Coming onto the animations - There are tons of new animations which helps the overall flow of the matches and every move feels much smoother rather than robotic and unrealistic. Well done 2K that in itself is a big big step forward . Commentary - well when everything else was overhauled there is one thing which hasnt undergone any sort of changes apart from the addition of JBL , that is the annoying Commentary , 2K really needs to look into it considering the future titles because the only thing that stands against the title getting appreciation in every department is the commentary , a regular WWE fan maybe able to live with it but never others. The entrances has no breaks between them which is a blessing , The music becomes louder than before , in the last title the commentary sound used to have more sound and it was irritating .Then coming onto the Big one - The Gameplay - first of all thanks 2k sports . This is the WWE game ive been waiting for , This is THE GAME which allows me to feel all the emotions of a proper WWE match . If the animations have helped to add smoothness and flow to the matches then the introduction of the new reversal system makes each and every player play with a particular plan in mind , a plan if executed wrongly can easily expose you for an onslaught from the opponent. You just simply cannot go on and on and beat up your opponents and reverse everything they throw at you, thanks to the reversal as well as the new stamina system. In My first match i could breath fresh air after a long time , Sting and Rollins going at each other creating a tension, a tension that was not seen on previous titles , a feeling that i could easily throw away this match with the slightest of mistakes that i make and i almost did , after the exchanges both rollins and sting earned a finisher waiting for the right time to execute them , then came my moment - rollins out of reversals in hit with with a scorpion death drop thinking it was done and dusted - but he kicks out for my disbelief , then he gets up - throws some attack at me some of which i succesfully evaded thanks to the stored reversals , then just like him i ran out of reversals and he had a finisher , in the nail bighting moments that followed i tried as much as i can to avoid his attacks (and regain atleast 1 reversal) by trying to throw some punches which was ineffective due to my lesser stamina and at last rollins had the upper hand and he went to execute the pedegree and for gods sake i had just 1 single reversal using which i countered to score another Scorpion Death Drop to pick my first ever win on my first ever match on WWE2K16 , Im pretty sure that WWE followers can read all the emotions from the above given lines. The new pin system is effective and tricky but i find it more comfortable to use than the previous titles (The superstars with Dirty pins can easily get on your nerves because of how difficult it becomes to kickout) , The new submission system requires time to master. After playing a few matches i understood has there was different strategies for the A.I in different matches especially notable in the Triple Threat or Fatal 4 way and 6 man matches because of the natural aspect that can be felt because of the improved A.I. I have so far not experienced a single frustrating moment while trying to do something (This was a big problem in the previous titles). Coming onto the showcase mode Austin 3:16 says "RAISE SOME HELL" - The best walk through the illustrious career of the rattle snake Stone Cold Steve Austin, Il speak more on the Showcase and my career mode , creations etc after sitting down playing it for some more time. So overall yes my friends, This is the WWE game we all have been waiting for. If you can get this game somehow - get it as soon as you can , because it will bring a smile on your face and i can guarantee you that.MY RATING - 8.75 out of 10 ! There are areas of improvements such as the crowd - the commentary etc, But overall i would place this game right up with Smack down Here comes the Pain especially because of the SOLID gameplay that it offers, This is a title that is going to be remembered for a long long time. THATS THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO ! PS :- i really cant wait to play a multiplayer match of this game with some of my friends ! Thanks WWE , Thanks 2K ! #RAISESOMEHELL
