Yeah, this fact only could say something about the game.First of all, I have to say that My Memory of Us is incredibly important game for me as a Polish. It depicts what is perhaps the most tragic event in the history of Poland - and does it in artistic, subtle manner. No propaganda here, only cruel world seen by the eyes of kids - and described with the voice of sir Patrick Stewart (yup, THIS Patrick Stewart).Beside that, it's a solid puzzle-platformer, with delightful graphics and clever level design. It's very much like Valiant Hearts - not so polished and perhaps shorter (it can be completed in 4-5 hours), but worth playing just the same.

My Memory of Us does not follow the typical story-telling mechanisms and it dares to venture into a background plot that not many games would step into. Its original and unusual story-telling make this a rather unique effort which might not be the most exciting for players looking for a thrilling challenge but it does a very good job at delivering a unique experience.

Considering its length, My Memory Of Us is a tad overpriced, but the game itself proves a charming magnificent puzzler that tugs at both your brain and your heart strings.

By its nature, a game trivializes its subject matter to some degree, no matter how seriously the subject is presented. One could argue that making any kind of game relating to the Holocaust is bad mojo, but on the other hand, it might engender some awareness of history and My Memory of Us —made by a Polish developer—obviously comes from a sincere place and not crass commercialism. Philosophy and aesthetic arguments aside, where My Memory of Us both occasionally succeeds but equally often stumbles is in its puzzles and gameplay and mechanics.

Pundits continue to debate the merits of video games as an art form, and My Memory of Us is yet another strong argument for what the industry can do at its best. My Memory of Us is the rare game that feels important, while also providing an engaging experience. It’s tragic that we need reminders of what the Jewish people went through but, in a time when many Americans don’t know the history of the Holocaust, it’s wonderful to have a game that encourages learning in a new and interesting way. Sometimes knowing how to solve each puzzle can be a little frustrating, and the game does have some occasional slowdown, but these are minor quibbles, at best. My Memory of Us is an unmissable experience.

Sending the player to the heart of the horrors of World War II inside Warsaw Ghetto, My Memories of Us uses the conflict to tell a beautiful story of childhood friendship, telling this part of history through their own eyes. With its classic mechanics and some inaccurate collisions, Juggler's game still have a certain charm thanks to its beautiful artistic direction and soundtrack.

I have to say, I really enjoyed My Memory of Us. It manages to tell a challenging story that reflects the Holocaust and concentration camps, all while maintaining a youthful innocence and focusing on the fun the characters are having together. The music is great and the narration is top-notch. It’s a game that has stayed with me for the last couple of days since I completed it. I will certainly be keeping an eye on Juggler Games to see what they do in the future.

It can be hard to recommend sidescrolling platform-puzzlers these days with the sheer number of fantastic ones hitting the market every single year for quite some time now, but My Memory of Us is worth your time. With a unique atmosphere, well-told story, quality visuals and voice acting, and a run time short enough to make it perfect for a weekend finish, I think just about everyone will find and money well spent.

Despite its annoying stealth sections, My Memory of Us is a truly touching platformer that uses beautiful artwork and clever puzzles to weave a rich narrative. It may not be perfect, but Patrick Stewart’s stellar narration is enough to forget any minor niggles.

Just like Valiant Heart from Ubisoft, My Memory of Us tackles a heavy subject with the tenderness of a friendship and (too) easy gameplay mechanics.

It looks like some multi cultural manifesto located in 1990's Berlin and telling a story of the 1930ies (Klezmer-like music playing in the background). Game controls are weird and often do what you didn't mean to. As a history lesson, the game fails, but can be understood as a metaphor. The puzzles suffer from a severe lack of imagination and are annoying sometimes.

My Memory of Us is a joy to play. It's a well-crafted game that is clearly made by a team equipped to tackle such a heavy subject matter. Even without directly showing any Nazi symbols, the story is heart-wrenching and manages to pay tribute to the sacrifice of those who fought against them.

It means well, and divorced from the game's context, the game's aesthetic is charming. But it doesn’t really work as either a puzzle game or as an educational experience.
