The Great sniper game! Best game of series and best game for sniper. Very beautiful and interesting game with stealth elements.

It's basically "more of the same", but more expansive. The campaign has bigger maps, better weapon customization and assassination targets. Even with a co-op partner online, each level can take up to 2.5 hours. More so if you want to find every collectible. The multiplayer and survival modes return and are fun. Also, the new Invasion feature allows a random player to enter your game as an enemy sniper. Fans of Hitman and Metal Gear Solid V should enjoy this entry. "Elite 5" may not be innovative, but it's an enjoyable action game. I would rate it with an 8.1 out of 10.
Sniper Elite 5 offers a very specific treat to choose from. Everything it does, does it adequately and consistently. There are problems such as the poor AI, the low variety in the gameplay and rough graphics, but the whole package is decent.
If you are looking for a game that will have you engaged for hours through combat, keeping your attention with new objectives to take on, and plenty of ways to play then you must check this game out! Any Sniper fans who have tried the others in the series will find this game to be just as great or even better. The experience is something, unlike anything else I’ve played before! Truly an amazing game!
Sniper Elite 5 offers the experience that fans have come to expect from the series, but introduces very few changes to the formula.
Sniper Elite 5 hits the excellence mark dead center with a game that dares to innovate without breaking the formula that we all know and love.

Sniper Elite 5 isn't a groundbreaking game, but it certainly is an enjoyable one.
Despite its artificial intelligence problems and simple story, Sniper Elite 5 manages to stand out with its fun gameplay and dynamics like XRay.

Needless to say, it was a bit of a letdown for me. SE4 had been a masterpiece right off the bat: very few glitches, awesome AI/combat/sniping, great writing and graphics. SE5 was pretty much the opposite: Lots of bugs, terrible enemy AI even on harder settings, poor graphics, weak writing and the game even got touched by some of that left wing political correctness that seems to be seeping into the industry more and more (I'm referring to the black woman with a Scottish accent that gives Karl orders now). I kind of feel like there was a new team behind a lot of this game (possibly Gen z) which could explain it's shortcomings. Problem is, I don't think a lot of the problems can be fixed by patches or updates. Oh well, at least I can still replay the old games.
Sniper Elite 5 is a culmination of many years of gameplay systems and development processes being polished to a mirror sheen. Making tremendous strides in both technology and visuals, Sniper Elite 5 can stand amongst the likes of its AAA contemporaries with gorgeous, realistic environments and visuals. Character modelling and animation could still use some refinement and the narrative left something to be desired, though the story thread was enough to provide adequate pacing for the action on screen. If you’re a fan of the series or looking to finally see what all the fuss is about, Sniper Elite 5 is the best the series has ever been.

ButFirst of all: I love Karl's assignments in Africa (part 3) and Italy (part 4) and so I was very pleasured when part 5 was announced.... But what the hell was Rebellion thinking here?! Although the individual areas are larger- but they are mostly unsuitable for "stealth play". In France, our "super agent" can only walk the paths specified by the developer – get over a knee-high wall? –No way ! And in addition to the catastrophic topography (especially in villages/cities hardly find any hiding places) comes the sometimes INSANE amount of enemies. Rebellion should have focused on the strengths of the last parts and consistently continued them in France instead of chasing the multiplayer trend. The only thing that is the same in the new part as in the parts from 2014 + 2017 is the graphics quality (even though I played the new part on PS5!)For SE 5 : Rebellion , sit down , F(ailed) ! #NotMySniperElite!

Single player review.Only 9 missions that can range from an hour to a couple of hours each. It's more of a bunch of DLCs from SniperSingle player review.Only 9 missions that can range from an hour to a couple of hours each. It's more of a bunch of DLCs from Sniper Elite 4 than anything else. The graphics are nice but the character models are awful. Invisible walls everywhere so you are funneled into a few ways to get the job done but not much a tactical choice. The difficulty of this game is in the amount of NPC you need to get rid of but not much else. The game has not really evolved and this time the stories seems cookie cutter. The voice acting is very bad.You can run and gun. Stealth is just an option to slow down your play time.Bobby trapping vehicles and people is worth zero as nothing happens with stopped vehicles. The scenery and foliage are nice but are really beginning to show their age. This game will need to be made in unreal engine 5 or better to keep people for coming back. The Fu rear dlc is just a cheap gimmick and i finished it in half an hour. 1/2 hour for 8$ i am not impressed.Skill point system is just a cheap gimmick to give you buffs. The only thing going for this game is the gore of the bullet cam and the morbid glee we get out of it.The ranking system is fun as i made it to General on the single player campaign. It's not bad its just getting old. The game needs to change and find new enemies instead of just yatzees.Wait for a bargain price.

Thankfully I didn't pay for it, as it was included in Game Pass. The gameplay is alright, but it is a lot more CoD than Sniper Elite now. Now, the reason I give it a 0 is because it is broken. I finished the first mission, the exit appeared, but after a minute or so it disappeared and didn't come back, so I spent over 2 hours playing for NOTHING. I tried loading a previous autosave but nope, it was already broken. They still haven't fixed it.
Sniper Elite 5 is the best one yet. It still has some technical issues, like the messy AI and it can be hard sometimes, but it’s still a lot of fun and probably enough to make both hardcore fans and newcomers happy. It’s a blast.

It is almost like they forgot to make the game revolve around sniping and long distances. This is a ton of hallways and room to room combat There is no way you can engage without an alarm going off or being spotted then it's time to take o like 10 guys at once which nukes the immersion. The ai just has too sensitive hearing for you to get away with anything. Just feels like they corrupted the main snipey stealth factor that made these games fun. At the very least they should let you start off with all available suppressors If the ai are going to be this touchy . get ready to fight off 8 to ten guys at once with a **** cover system. not fun
Sniper Elite 5 is a triumph. The campaign is great, Survival is brilliant fun and Axis Invasion gives an insight into how other players think. PvP sits in the mix like a wasp’s nest at a picnic, generally being unpleasant and spoiling things, but ignore that and this is a quality title that demands to be played.
There’s not much about Sniper Elite 5 that’s particularly remarkable. That, however, didn’t stop the visceral X-Ray kills and the simple act of mowing down Nazis to see me through to the end of its campaign. There are plenty of other games out there that do stealth, action, or World War II better, yet the series’ formula is very much its own and does manage to carry a game that otherwise struggles to do anything interesting. Its flexible difficulty, the tension of invasions, and gruesome long-range executions keep things fun if the very premise appeals to you. But certain antiquated design choices and guns that don’t feel all that great keep Sniper Elite 5 from being memorable.
Overall, Sniper Elite 5 is a very high quality and very playable addition to the Sniper Elite series. It offers an interesting environment, great replayability, but also plenty of cooperation and multiplayer options. Really good choice.
Dissapointing right from the start, while I feel this could have been a great game which I was hoping for as a series fan, the controls totally derail any form of enjoyment this game could have offered its bad when previous games have felt better to play it feels like your sailing a ship with nothing but wooden spoons hopefully future updates fix this but for now a 5/10
If you’ve played previous Sniper Elite games, you already know if you’re going to like Sniper Elite 5. If you haven’t, I can’t recommend it enough, as well as the previous entries. The quality is consistent all the way back to the first entry, and it’s a ton of fun. Don’t forget to check out the Nazi Zombie Army games as well. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, Rebellion knows the meaning of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, and they’ve used that to pump out a series of great games.

The acting is so bad in cut scenes, it sounds as if they just recorded the initial script reads. Not to mention the forced black character with an Irish accent that seems literally there to check a bo.. the multi-player and the one invasion that they thought of is what saved them from a one. Literally only picked this up because it was free on Xbox.

It's true that there are hardly any surprises or innovations to be found, as well as some bugs here and there. What it does is simply give us another one of Karl Fairburne's historically fictional one-man-army crusades of crushing Nazis in every way possible, detailed x-ray gore and all. The new Invasion mode is also a blast. The main multiplayer unfortunately seems a bit dead on arrival. But even without that, it's still a well-rounded game with something to offer for every kind of third person shooter fan. Singleplayer with high replayability and playstyles, fun co-op with the survival mode and intense one-on-one encounters with Invasion. Overall it's easily one of the best shooters of the year so far, and yet another big win for Xbox Game Pass.

First of all let me say no one is more surprised than me, who was charmed by SE4's solid package. And in theory this is a winner: SE4's foundation enhanced by more features and options, including a Souls-like invasion modeBut the reality is this buggy mess crumbles under its ambition. The number of glitches is too long, so let me narrow it down: certain conditions will cause the exfiltration trigger to disappear. So you might complete the mission and fight your way back to safety, only to find you can't complete the level without rebooting the game entirely. Avoid until SEVERAL patches take place

The animations are Jank and the absence of a crouch sprint makes the game feel too slow. Not that being methodical and slow in a sniping game is a bad thing. But to go through each area without any choice of traversal speed, especially since most of the time if you play stealthily, can make it feel like a slog. Most of the time it comes down to CQC and the sniping feels like an after thought. The maps feel like there made of choke points guiding you from one area to the next with no feel of real openness found in Sniper elite 4. Once you reach an area there is a bit of freedom to infiltrate from multiple angles but it still seems very restricted more so than the pervious title. The AI is all over the place here. From starting combat when they were not provoked to just randomly running for no reason. When hiding bodies in crates, because sure why not, and reloading a saved game next to said crate sometimes the bodies will just fall through the side asking an invisible area that you can't walk though. All in all it's not a horrible game but definitely a let down. Though the sniper elite games aren't known for there polish. This one at least looks and runs good. But with a myriad of negative changes it just doesn't feel as fun as the previous game.

The experience will not be the best.I recommend that you leave this release in the ice bucket and wait for better days.
Sniper Elite 5 follows in its immediate predecessor's footprints with another massive open-ended sandbox for you to experiment in. There's a renewed emphasis on player agency this time around that factors into every aspect of its design, from the way each sprawling map is constructed, right down to the addition of a broad weapon customization system. Invisible barriers tend to break the immersion at times, and the AI can be overly finicky as it veers between competence and incompetence. Fairburne isn't the most graceful protagonist, either, but these shortcomings aren't damaging enough to seriously dampen the glee that comes from shooting Nazis in the face from 300 yards away. When it comes to long-range combat, Sniper Elite 5 has mastered the craft.
It’s easy to get lost exploring the giant maps in Rebellion’s Sniper Elite 5, and it’s been a while since I’ve played a game where I lost track of time. The collecting part leaves something to be desired, but the co-op and invasion gameplay modes more than make up for that.
The gameplay mechanics and open world that felt fresh and fun in 2017 now feel outdated and stale. Combine this with levels that lack interesting vantage points or unique ways to kill enemies, and it wasn’t long before my immersion into the wacky world of Sniper Elite 5 went up in smoke.
Sniper Elite 5 is the new entry in the franchise. With more freedom for the player to choose, and a gigantic variety of weapons, sometimes it feels too similar to the previous Sniper Elite games, and Rebellion could have been braver in some aspects.
Sniper Elite 5 is a little bit better than its predecessor in every aspect, but not by much. There's a little bit more content, a little more variety in said content and it all looks a little bit better. That said, you'll have to blink twice to notice the differences between Sniper Elite 4 and 5. The result is a fairly risk-free sequel, but that doesn't make it any less fun.
Sniper Elite 5 is excellent, genuinely. This is a bold step forward for a franchise that felt like it was treading water, and it’s one of 2022’s most essential releases. Bugs and missteps stop it from being a true GOTY contender, but fans of open-world stealth will be enamoured.
Putting it under the scope, Rebellion Developments has delivered a coherent, open-ended stealth experience filled with plenty of freedom. This is peak Sniper Elite, with so much about the game inspiring tactical, sneaky gameplay that makes you feel like a real wartime marksman.
Plainly put, Sniper Elite 5 not only managed to meet my expectations but far surpass them. What I thought would be a fun game for a couple of hours at most became quickly a phenomenal release I couldn't get more of. Whether I charged in guns blazing or tried to be the ideal sniper or I did the side quests or main objectives, I had fun.
