If you get this game which I recommend you do, play it on the hardest difficulty, it makes Lara feel like a real person, and you feel like a kick ass glass cannon. Combat and exploration is top of the **** line. The only critic I could come up with is the map is a bit too dark and has a lack of color that makes exploration difficult, and upgrading weapons becomes a bit too grindy, trying to find all the parts, and the grim look fits into the theme, so I'm just nitpicking because of how great this game is, BUY IT, when theres a spring sale on xbox I got it for 3 dollars and it's the best money you will ever spend

I am a bit divided in my opinion about Lara. I liked her looking and for the most part her relation to the environment. But her characterization is a bit to fast for me. I would have wanted a bit more time to see her grow in her struggle to survive.GameplayAll good. The shooting is fine, the riddle and tombs are very interesting and u can stealth kill most of the enemies. I would have loved if they contributed more to the survival aspect, more really necessary hunting and more.SceneryIt looks really really good even in 2020. Lara is beatiful detailed and the isle has very goodlooking parts and you have some difference in it. But I would have liked more places to go to.SummaryGood Game and way better than the Film 8/10.

Really enjoyed the in depth story line, impressive eye candy graphics and fluid game play that Tomb Raider had to offer. The whole vibe of this game is fantastic, plenty of weapons, crafting, explosions, collectibles, hidden areas and more and more. The game also features plenty of puzzles to work your way through. At times Tomb Raider can seem a bit tedious with lots of backtracking, and the online feels like it was tacked on, but overall a fantastic game worth playing.

I hated so much this game, i was hyped by the reboot but it has nothing to do with a tomb raider game. No tropical/luxurious/antique sites, no puzzles, no adventure...just a generic/boring TPS, just "ouch, ouch i take a stick in my womb and fall every 10 seconds but can still walk, run etc." and "bam bam tatata bang" worse than a COD. I don't get all the hype for this game.

If you never had the chance to experience the game a year ago, then the Definitive Edition is an absolute no-brainer. In fact, we’re even slightly envious of those people that waited, because Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is one of the Xbox One's best games.

I didn't play this game on 360 or ps3, so it was brand new to me when I picked it up for X1. The movement and combat is extremely fluid, the graphics are fantastic, the story isn't amazing but it works. All in all, I would highly recommend this game, and I'm really looking forward to future installments in this franchise. Great game!!

I must say I was a little bit scared, because this is my first Tomb Raider game and I had no plan what is waiting for me in this game.I must say, that this is a very good game, maybe the best I played since last summer. Maybe not because graphics, I think the Xbox One could do a lot more than this. But the storyline and the gameplay is in my opinion very great, you can play offensive and also "defensive". The AI is challenging if you play on hard i think and also the discoverable objects, which give you more story background are well done.Of course, it's a remake of an Xbox360-Version, so I wouldn't buy this for Xbox One if I had bought the game for Xbox360.All in all my opinion:+ Good story plot+ Well told story+ Well AI for every type of gamer+ Nice gameplay+ Quite good graphics...- ...but for "Next-Gen" not enough- a more non-linear story could be nice

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is a phenomenal action adventure game, and while it does not bring anything new to the genre, it’s an excellent opportunity if like me, you haven’t had the opportunity to play it on either the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or the PC.

It’s the same brilliant game that came out last year, all polished up and looking its finest. For returning adventurers, on the other hand, there’s so little in the way of new content that there’s not much point buying the new version unless you had an urge to replay it anyway.

A lack of decent bonuses makes the Definitive Edition a hard sell for existing fans, but for newcomers it's a slice of platforming perfection that will make the wait for next-gen blockbusters easier to bear.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition's enhancements are cosmetic-only so the flaws present in the game's last-gen version are still present. Even so, it's a great game made greater, so for those yet to play it, this is the version to get.

I originally played this masterpiece on my PC, a powerful rig with crossfired 7970's and a 2600K at 4.8Ghz. I thought that the game was visually exquisite on my configuration with TressFX etc all enabled and a stable performer, although even my rig couldn't escape frame dips from a v-synced 60fps in areas such as shanty town. I think the devs have done a commendable job porting this to the much weaker, but still very capable, PS4 with so many visual bells and whistles intact and expanded upon. The game truly is a sight to behold running at 1080p and a perceptively quite stable 60fps on my big 65 inch Panasonic.A lot of people/critics are marking the game down based on the price. This is unfair in my estimation. The 'game' is still a stellar AAA title, now with just more additional sheen. The practice of keeping the price high is something I understand the community's resentment over, but as far as ridiculous scores like 60% or below for the actual game itself I do not agree with at all.If you never knew the title was released prior and sat down to play it and review it on its own merits in this incarnation you would be undeniably impressed and the score should reflect that.If you're lucky enough to have never played it and own a PS4 buy it immediately, comfortable with the fact that you just purchased the best game on the system. But even if like me you have played it, and even if you played it on the PC where the advantages this version offers are slimmer, it still is worthy of heavy consideration. I personally loved the game first time round and had zero reservations about ponying up for it again on PS4. It is a double dip, but it is also one where you can see significant care has been made to update a lot of things graphically that is truly a rarity in similar double dip scenarios, where a resolution increase is about it.10/10...on any platform.

The only thing we can definitively say is that if publishers are going to begin overcharging for slight next-gen upgrades, then this is going to be one hell of a long generation.

The visual upgrade might not be a reason to buy this again, but if you haven't played yet, you'll find an outstanding game that will please adventure fans.

The biggest draw of Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition is the improved graphics. They're simply stunning in perhaps the best-looking console game I've ever seen. Running smooth 1080p resolution, this new version adds an incredible level of detail to the newly modeled characters and lush environments.
